Tek Kullanımlık Plastikler ve Deniz Çöplerine İlişkin Yol Haritası Çalıştayı’nın ikinci gününde DEEP Projesi Teknik Bileşen Lideri Onur Akpulat 2019’da çıkartılan AB Tek Kullanımlık Plastikler Direktifi’nin üye ülkelerde nasıl uygulandığı hakkında bilgi verdi.
“Tek kullanımlık ürünlerin alternatifleri yerine çoklu kullanımlık ürünler fark yaratabiliyor” diyen Akpulat, Türkiye’nin hazırlayacağı yol haritası için, “Bunun bir reçetesi yok. Detayı ve kapsamını hazırlamak bizlerin elinde” mesajı verdi.
DEEP projesi uzmanlarından Şeyda Dağdeviren Hill de direktifin Uygulama Kılavuzu’nun tasarım özellikleri temel alınarak sınıflandırıldığını şemalarla aktardı. Dağdeviren, AB’nin tek kullanımlık plastiklerin tümünü yasaklamadığını bunu kılavuzla düzenlediğine işaret etti.
@CircularHotspot Stratejik Danışman Siem Haffmans ise tek kullanımlık plastiklerle ilgili AB ülkelerindeki uygulama örneklerini aktardı. Depozito iade uygulaması, ilave yasaklama ve tüketim azaltılmasına yönelik adımların çöp miktarını azalttığını belirten Haffmans, “Daha az ambalaj kullanılması, yeniden kullanılabilir ambalajların tercih edilmesi, plastik içermeyen alternatifler ve geri dönüştürülebilir ürünlerin tercih edilmesi önemli adımları oluşturuyor” dedi.
