First look 👀 The State Coach, mid-restoration at a secret location.
See it first at Guildhall the week before the Show. After a spin round the City like, well... a coach and horses, it's off to the new @LDN_Museum.

On balance I am rather more a fan of this variety of custom birthday greeting than those available from the likes of Funky Pigeon or Moon Pig. This on display in the offices of The Honourable The Irish Society.
The Memorial Hall in Londonderry is the home of The Associated Clubs of The Apprentice Boys. The original 13 apprentices were indentured to members of the Livery Companies, I am endeavouring to find out which.
Only two City governments have the right to petition the Westminster parliament directly, the Corporation of London is one, this is the office of the other.
Past Governor of The Honourable The Irish Society, always a former Lord Mayor of London. Painting of Alderman Sir Matthew Wood Bt shown here on display in Cutts House, Coleraine
Arms of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers. In heraldry a hippocampus is the head of a horse with the body of a fish. Again the helm should be a closed visor (without a grille) facing Dexter.
Very unusual to see corporate arms with the Sword and Mace of the City of London placed in saltire behind the shield. That is a distinction usually reserved for Lord Mayors
Arms of the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, aptly painted on stained glass. The beaks of the Phoenix heads should be Gules (red) but we won’t quibble about that.
The Arms of the Worshipful Company of Mercers. It is unusual to have a crest which is simply a copy of the principal charge (symbol) of the arms. Here the Mercers’ Maiden serves as arms and crest.
Arms of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists. The central charge (symbol) of the arms is a ‘double warded key’ being the key to knowledge. The sparks refer to electricity. The crest is Mercury the winged messenger. The motto CITO means Swiftly.
Arms of the Worshipful Company of Drapers. In this case the helm atop the shield is a bit ambitious, a forward facing grilled helm that is closed indicates the rank of Sovereign!
Later this week I will make a significant update to The City of London Freeman’s Guide Sovereign’s edition in ebook format. Updates are free, within edition, after initial purchase. Download yours here: amazon.co.uk/s?k=the+city+of…
cityandlivery.etsy.com/listi… I am working on a 5th Infographic poster to join the set…. Highlighting the many military affiliations of the livery. The current set is available in print or digital formats.
A view of the stairwell in Armourers’ Hall, one of my favourite livery company halls in the City of London
