Childhood Cancer Awareness Month…we miss you everyday sweet boy! 🎗️🤟

Five years of carrying you in our hearts instead of our arms. Half a decade has passed since we last heard Connor Luke’s laugh, yet today, time feels both incredibly fast and entirely still. The world hasn't stopped turning, but today, our family pauses. We let the tears fall, we smile at the beautiful memories, and we honor the incredible little boy who changed our lives forever. Grief looks different now than it did in the beginning. It isn’t the constant, breathless weight it used to be. Instead, it’s a quiet shadow that sneaks in when we least expect it. But we don't live in that dark valley. Every single day, we actively hand our heartache over to the One who carries us through it. We hold onto the absolute certainty of where Connor is, and until we get to see him again, we will never stop sharing his beautiful heart. Connor’s legacy lives on so clearly in his brothers. Bentley carries his role as CL’s big brother with a quiet strength and grace that makes us so incredibly proud; he is growing into such a steady, kind, and loyal young man. And sweet Hudson, who only knows his big brother through our stories, still feels that deep, unspoken connection to him. Connor always dreamed of being a big brother, and he is still fulfilling that purpose from Heaven. We will never have all the answers as to why childhood cancer became a part of our story. But through every high and every low, one truth has remained unshakable: God has been right beside us. He hasn’t wasted a single ounce of our pain, and He has never stopped being faithful. Whenever we lose our way or need a reminder of why we press on, we anchor ourselves back to Connor’s own profound words: “Everyone has Jesus in their heart, but some don’t know He’s there.” That is our mission now. We live to make sure people know He is there. Heaven feels so much closer when you have a piece of your heart already there. We miss you fiercely today, buddy, but we grieve with an unbreakable hope. God is good all the time! 🤟🏻💪 #clstrongforever

Going to miss this group. They have already accomplished so much, and they’ll continue to do great things. More than wins and accomplishments, I’m proud of the young women they’ve become — leaders, teammates, and people of character. I pray they continue to walk with confidence, humility, and faith as God leads them into their next chapter. The impact they’ve made will last far beyond the softball field, and I’m grateful I got to be part of their journey. Once a Phoenix, always a Phoenix! 🤟
