Just because a student does not raise their hand, does not mean that they are not thinking deeply about the content. We need to broaden what we mean by engagement in our classrooms/schools. This will invite/value more students in the learning process.

On my flight from London to Rome this morning everyone HAD to wear a mask, not just any mask but a FFP2 mask. Those are the Italian requirements and the airline has to comply. 👍 – at Rome, Lazio

LUMO IS GO! FirstGroup's new lo-cost London-Edinburgh trains will take on easyJet & Ryanair at their own game starting 25 October, 6 times less CO2 than a flight with fares from £14.90 - 60% of fares will be £30 or less. I'm going to enjoy watching this - pass the popcorn...

Alternative, personally relevant, word of the day: 'snaccident' - the inadvertent eating of an entire packet of biscuits/giant tube of crisps, when you meant to have just a few. I may have mentioned this before.

Some words that began as mistakes: A ‘sneeze’ was originally a ‘fnese’, but the ‘f’ was misread as an old-fashioned ‘s’. A pea was once a ‘pease’, but we thought this was a plural and invented ‘pea’ for just the one. An apron was a ‘napron’ until the ‘n’ migrated to the ‘a’.
