"Europe used to have a GDP per person of 90% of America’s. It’s now 65%. It’s on its way to 50%." The EU has been CATASTROPHIC for Europe.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns Europe is falling dangerously behind America economically… and blames anti-business, anti-investment, and anti-innovation policies. 🇺🇸🇪🇺 “If you don’t believe me, go to Europe, folks. Europe used to have a GDP per person of 90% of America’s. It’s now 65%. It’s on its way to 50%. That will jeopardize the health of Europe itself over time. And it’s all anti-business, anti-investment, anti-innovation. They kind of know it. If they don’t fix it—and we should help them fix it, because Europe matters—it’s really bad for the Western world, too. We should do it wisely.” Europe shift over the past three decades has proven decimating for their economy. Aging population forces mass immigration in order to maintain adequate growth. Crazy regulation and bureaucracy slows innovation and investment… forcing the economy further down. At the same time, the United States has pulled ahead exponentially and will continue to do so. Europe is struggling.

When Margaret Thatcher left Number 10 in November 1990, the UK's debt : GDP ratio was roughly 22%-26% (depending on the specific calculation). That was down significantly from around 42% to 43.6%, when she first took office in 1979. Today, UK debt : GDP stands at roughly 95%.

Some people have criticised @TheEconomist for using a log scale here, because it squashed the top end of assaults. So here's another way of presenting this, showing just how disproportionate the rates are. If we aren't serious about these national/cultural differences, we aren't committed to keeping Brits safe.
Ultimately the people that read this stuff need the editorial but the data doesn’t lie

The price of natural gas is the same all across Europe. That the UK's sky high electricity prices are 'because of the price of gas' is self-evidently untrue. Other countries pay the same gas prices but have much lower electricity prices. We must look elsewhere for the cause of our predicament Could it be our 'world-leading' renewables?

No. The British people do not want Gazan students. Most, if not all, will have been taught to hate Jews since the crib. We have a crisis of antisemitism - we should not be endangering more British Jews.
🚨#BREAKING: The British government announces it will start issuing expedited visas to Gazan students so they can move to the UK & study at British Universities. The UK will also "establish a permanent framework for more refugee students to come study in the UK"

In the past week alone, Muslims have: 1. Slaughtered 9 Christians during a funeral in Jordan. 2. Beheaded 40 Christians in Nigeria with machetes. 3. Massacred 60 Christians in Ethiopia and burned down their homes. They didn’t get even 1% of the media coverage Gaza gets.

For years, activists have claimed it is racist to break down sex crime statistics by nationality. This is nonsense. It should surprise no one that men from cultures in which women are treated as subordinate are convicted of sexual offences at disproportionately high rates.

We are using taxpayers’ money to destroy our own civilisation. Please, let’s stop pretending that a ‘social contract’ still exists. It doesn’t.

I wonder if Canadians who previously found Brexit mysterious have recently started to feel they can relate more to not wanting to be absorbed into a political union with a much larger Southern neighbour?

Would you let your 16-year-old daughter walk around a market in Nigeria, Morocco or Tunisia on her own? No. Nobody would. Not even the most open-border liberal. So why can't we have that same honest conversation at home?

There is something intriguingly Trumpian about Burnham. He lies, fluently and blatantly and repeatedly, and he rarely gets called up on it. Those who spend ages fact-checking Trump are silent - partially because Burnham isn’t a Grotesque, and partially because he’s their guy.
Almost everything Burnham says in this piece is a lie. - We didn't get a "harder" Brexit than what was mentioned in the Referendum. We left with the most comprehensive trade agreement the EU has ever signed. - The small boats crisis didn't emerge because of losing "returns agreements". While we were in the EU we were a net-, recipient of illegal immigrants from these agreements, the small boats crisis has emerged because of a global surge in illegal immigration and pull-factors like our human rights laws. - Immigration within the EU was not "revolving door". It has been permanent, and significantly more than estimated at the time. Over 6 million people have come here on the EU Settlement scheme, double estimated. The Prime Minister is dishonest and cynical, planning to hand border control to the EU, and likely pay them British taxpayers money while he's at it.
