Couldn’t believe how many people got stuck into clay in the pouring rain yesterday. The forecast’s fine today. Come on down to @inafieldfest and get making! Pay homage to the potters of @PottersFieldsPa @TeamLondonBdg

“Libraries’ value could equate to six times their running costs.” Great to see the publication of the University of East Anglia report, commissioned by @libsconnected. In the words of our CEO @HunterIsobel, this should be a ‘game changer’. theguardian.com/books/2023/j…

A great afternoon with the amazing Mike Webber, archaeologist, searching on the Thames foreshore for traces of the London Delftware potters or, more accurately, gallypotters, active 1660-1750. Some great finds.

One of my all time favourite set of Roman objects are these wonderful body part shaped hot water/oil bottles recovered in the 1960s at the Asklepieion of ancient Nea Paphos and now displayed at the refurbished Paphos a archaeological Museum. They really should be better known!
