I have no idea why renaming AI is so bizarrely important to Trump. Nobody cares about the name he chose. Nobody is using it or will use it. And it’s not even technically accurate because “super intelligence” already had an agreed upon, widely adopted definition. This is the weirdest political hill to die on. It gains you nothing. Not a single ordinary American in the country, anywhere, cares deeply about making sure people say “SI” instead of “AI.” We are days away from a major election and this bullshit is the focus? Just baffling.

Age ratings tell parents what’s in a game so they can make informed decisions for their kids.
These AI statements are just as partisan as mandatory political essays or forcing developers to list their voting history to drive cancel campaigns and public struggle sessions.
“Wildwood” director Travis Knight calls AI an “amazing piece of technology” but says, “I’m not embracing it at all.”
“I see technology as a tool, and we use technology at Laika. A pencil is technology, a paintbrush is technology, a 3D printer is technology. Technology is useful when you put it in the hands of people, when you put it in the hands of artists who can amplify their voice."
“Technology is not useful when it takes the place of the artist, and that’s the concern with generative AI,” he continued. “It’s an amazing piece of technology, but the concern is that when it supplants the artist, then we have an issue because the computer cannot speak about humanity at all. It doesn’t know what it feels like.”

AI bros lie about the accessibility of art before AI came around.
Pencil & paper is cheap. Free digital drawing software existed for 10+ years.
It was never about accessibility, but their laziness & entitlement. They wanted unearned free access.
