The world is in a clean energy race, and investors are looking for places to put their dollars in low-carbon, net-zero projects, and countries are doing everything they can to attract that investment. Canada and Alberta are no different.
And we have a bit of a superpower.
In the latest Missions & Moonshots discussion paper, Adam Sweet, the Director for Western Canada at @CleanProsperity, discusses the changing landscape of decarbonization investment, why Alberta's Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) program is our competitive advantage, and how carbon contracts for difference can unlock TIER's full potential.

There's a huge prize for 🇨🇦in the low-carbon economy but we won't seize that oppty without more policy. I appreciated the chance to be on the @readthepeak 's Free Lunch podcast to share some thoughts on where we're at, and where need to go.
Out now: How can Canada compete with the mountains of cash the US government is ploughing into clean energy through the Inflation Reduction Act?
@bernstein_micha from @CleanProsperity joins us to discuss.

Today's fed budget took some v positive steps on clean energy investment. I'm particularly glad to see the gov will consult on a broad-based program of carbon contracts for difference (CCfDs). CCfDs are needed urgently to close the gap with the US IRA. Statement 👇1/
🚨 NEW: Budget 2023 offers smart, market-oriented measures to increase Canada's low-carbon competitiveness.
But there's more to be done to close the gap with the United States on key clean technologies.
