DSFP 6.0 Week 2 | Understanding Data Governance and the Role of KDBS As the learning journey continues, fellows of the 2026/2027 Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme are deepening their understanding of the institutions, frameworks, and practices that support effective data management and evidence-based decision-making. In this session facilitated by Hajiya Amina Lami, Head of the Project and Technical Coordination Unit at the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS), and co-facilitated by Usman Danjuma, Senior Planning Officer, KDBS, fellows were introduced to the Bureau’s mandate and its role in strengthening the production, management, and use of reliable statistical data. Drawing on her wealth of experience, Hajiya Amina guided fellows through the principles of effective data management, with particular attention to reviewing the KDBS Data Management and Governance Framework against standard data management practices. The session offered an opportunity to explore how clear governance structures, established processes, and consistent standards support responsible data management. For aspiring data professionals, understanding these frameworks goes beyond technical skills. It highlights the importance of data quality, accountability, consistency, and sound governance in ensuring data is trustworthy and used effectively to inform decisions. DSFP 6.0 | Days Three & Four in Class! Learning continues as our fellows deepen their understanding of health data systems and how reliable evidence can strengthen primary healthcare delivery. Across these days, fellows explored the Health Facility Analytics Platform, data sources, data triangulation, data pipelines, and the DHIS2 platform, including its data elements and indicators. They also gained insights into the methodology behind independent longitudinal assessments of primary healthcare facility readiness and the importance of data quality measures. With practical knowledge of health data systems and assessment methods, DSFP 6.0 fellows are building the capacity to turn data into actionable insights to improve planning, decision-making, and health outcomes. #ClickOnKadunaDSFP #Data4SocialGood #DataForImpact

After thousands of applications, a rigorous review process and the Computer-Based Test, shortlisted candidates are now sitting for the DSFP 6.0 interviews. This is where we get to meet the people behind the applications, hear their stories, understand their motivations, and see the passion, potential, and commitment that brought them this far. The competition has been intense. The candidates have been exceptional. Who will make the top 40? The interviews will tell.

The Race For DSFP 6.0 Top 40 Is Heating Up! The DSFP 6.0 CBT results are in, and the Average Performance Scores will be announced shortly. This year’s performance has been particularly strong, with one of the highest Average Performance Scores recorded in the program’s six-year history. And that tells us something: the competition is getting tougher. The applicants who have made it this far have demonstrated impressive knowledge, preparation, and potential. With so many strong candidates in the running, the final selection is shaping up to be highly competitive. But there’s still one more stage to go. 🎯 Phase 3: The Interviews.
