On fracking in the UK, here's Prof Stuart Haszeldine, from the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh: “An inconvenient fact – like it or not, the UK has not discovered any good shale for onshore gas production." 1/

Yeah, but apart from producing hardly any gas at great expense, causing earthquakes, disfiguring the landscape, polluting the water supply, accelerating climate breakdown and enraging local people, what've you got against fracking?

What proportion of the peer-reviewed scientific literature accepts the reality of human-caused climate change?
99.9%
So what to believe? The scientific evidence or a bunch of cranks?
Decisions, decisions 🤔

XR has put an enormous table in the centre of London to invite *everyone* to come together to talk to each other about the biggest crisis humanity has faced.
The @metpoliceuk doesn’t want that conversation to happen.
Get down to Covent Garden now! We will not be silenced. 🤐

There's nothing NIMBY about our campaign to #StopPrestonIncinerator - pollution at ground level could be in ALL our back yards across much of Lancashire depending on wind direction. It's also why we joined @CommunityPlann1 & nearly 500 other campaigns. ✊

If you live in the east of Preston, you could be moved into Ribble Valley constituency. Preston incinerator site will also move from @MpHendrick to @nigelmp constituency. We hope @nigelmp will be as supportive as @MpHendrick & @BWallaceMP - but pollution will affect us all...
We're conducting an independent and impartial review of all constituencies in England, and we want to hear from you. View our suggested changes for your area at bcereviews.org.uk. Tell us what you think - the consultation for our initial proposals closes 2 August.
