The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028.
She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.”
Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas.
Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview.
Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post.
Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics.

Good morning from Dallas! We’re heading to the Texas State Fair in a bit, but first, we have a little surprise.
Here’s a 30-minute video of our experience at the Red River Rivalry!
On Saturday morning, after reading so many messages from you guys about how special this game is and why it’s a bucket-list experience, we spontaneously decided to film the whole thing.
We’ve always felt that a few Twitter posts don’t really capture what these experiences are like, so we thought we’d give it a try. We spent yesterday editing everything, and we’re actually pretty happy with how it turned out!
So here it is! You can now see our whole gameday experience, including our friend’s reaction to his very first college football game. Hope you enjoy it!
And yes, this means our anonymity is gone now. We know a lot of you liked that part of our account, but after Auburn and the photos that some posted of us, it was basically over for us anyway. Most people already know what we look like, so we figured there’s no real reason to hide anymore.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the video! Let us know what you think.🙏❤️

We have labored. We have prayed. We have consecrated. And now the rest is in God’s hands.
O, Lord, touch the 80,000, unite the Bride in prayer, awaken your Church to the times, stretch out Your hands to heal and gain great glory for Yourself on this day in American history.

Bad Kick Off strategy. You gotta make him return that to drain a couple seconds and take it down to one play. The odds of him returning it into FG range are worse than Jackson throwing that pass. The KO rule is trash in general, but the coach made the wrong call.
Truly astonishing. Well done!
The largest residential virtual power plant event in history
Combining output from Powerwalls and other batteries, Tesla and @Sunrun delivered 580 MW to the grid – 517 MW of that came from 110,000 Powerwalls across California
This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I thought this was settled like 4 times already. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Frisco set to open massive $40 million, 120-acre community park this weekend

Not-for-profit hospitals currently hold $2.2 to $2.5 trillion in total assets, of which roughly $750 billion to $900 billion is cash and investments.
Communities across America lose ~$8 to $14 billion per year in property taxes; and the federal government loses ~$12 to $18 billion per year in corporate income taxes.
Of course local communities and states miss out on tens of billions of dollars in sales taxes as well.
Kaiser - alone - is sitting on ~$73B in cash and investments.

Wow.
North of Dallas is getting smoked.
I lived in Frisco back in 2022 and everyone said the market was impervious to a decline.
And now it’s in free fall.
Some zips are down almost 20% on value already.
And inventory through the roof.
More correction coming in Collin and Denton County in 2027.
