And that's the final curtain on 'Intimate Apparel' by Lynn Nottage!
What a production it was. Huge congratulations to everyone involved!🧵

Saw Intimate Apparel at @MSTacting tonight. The actors seemed to have been in the profession for years. It was directed by Carla Henry. She hit all the notes & made the text sing. Someone should call her & ask 'What do you want to do? How big do you want it to be?'

Come on to feck!
Did you have any idea the strike march was this big?
Where the hell is the media coverage?
On the day we had another budget for the rich, impartiality would be showing ordinary people marching against austerity!!!
Taking the piss!
Absolutely incredible turnout at today’s protest in London!
Teachers, doctors, civil servants, university workers and more striking together.
We demand fair pay for ALL 👊

“Next week AGAIN on @bbcquestiontime there will no representative of the #disabled community, even though they are hit hardest by cost of living crisis”
8th week I’ve offered to sit on the panel as a Disabled poverty expert
Pls RT if you’d like to see representation

Wow. Good thing the @BBC independently and impartially decided we didn't need to see this or we might think something is wrong in our country.
Well done @BBCNews, for protecting us all.

The Tories handed a £1 BILLION tax bung to the richest 1% in the Budget.
That could fund free school meals for every primary school pupil.
The Tories always make the same choice: they back the rich and leave everybody else to pay the price.

In 2016, there was a vote to leave the EU.
There was no vote to
- remove our rights
- erect trade barriers
- agree to be poorer
- put a border in the Irish Sea
- undercut our farmers
- irresponsibly deregulate
- deport people/defy the ECHR
Those are all govt choices.
Dismal ones.

The Conservative party put pressure on the BBC not to describe a claim by Boris Johnson that Keir Starmer failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile as “false”,
A national news broadcaster instructed by our government to maintain slander against a political opponent.

Before the 2016 referendum, British farmers were repeatedly promised that if we left the EU, payments received from the EU would at least be matched by the UK government. Instead, subsides are being slashed by a further 36% this year. Yet another broken Brexit promise.

Tory MP Edward Leigh claimed #expenses of £2,332 for heating last year and £2,474 the previous year.
Retweet if you think he should pay his own utility bills.

The Coronavirus Act 2020 gave legal power to the U.K. government to create money to tackle Covid
They could have used it to save 10s of thousands of lives
Instead they focused on using that money to enrich mates & themselves
We paid for it then. And we are still paying for it.

The tragic murder of a trans child, a Black schoolgirl being beaten, far-right groups targeting asylum seekers’ hotels. This is the result of Tories peddling hate and stoking fear aided by columnists everywhere. Now you’ll write columns wondering how it happened. #RIPBriannaGhey

10 years ago, the NHS was scored by experts to be the best health system in the world. Today, it ranks worst in Europe.
The Tories have intentionally driven the NHS to a position of crisis in order to justify accelerating privatisation.

Christ I’m sick of ppl on here saying they won’t support Labour under Starmer. One Corbyn supporter claiming she hatesLabour more than the Tories.
The most important thing is to get rid of the corrupt Tories. Assuming ppl want an NHS, help for the poor, end to child poverty etc

Jeremy Clarkson sacked by Amazon but he can always get a job on #GBNews who are happy to employ twats

Apparently, derangers are going to boycott Amazon, for sacking Jeremy Clarkson following his article on The Duchess of Sussex. They believe it as a sign of censorship and an attack on freedom of speech 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My sources tell me Jeff Bezos is SHAKING uncontrollably right now.

Jeremy Clarkson doing an insincere public apology to Harry & Meghan to save his job at Amazon and then Amazon sacking him anyway and then Harry & Meghan rejecting his apology as well is all objectively hilarious well done everyone
