Hope the Jazz backcourt can show some improvement, though it probably won't be dramatic. JJJ will certainly help. Ace has been impressive defensively. Hope this helps the guards a bit.

1. “Too many shooters and only one ball”
2. “Jaylen Brown isn’t a good defender”
3. “Tyrese Maxey will never be a good playmaker”
4. “LeGM is inevitable”
5. “Anfernee Simons will never contribute to a winning team”

Based on projected total value for the 2026-27 regular season.
Current level, last season's performance, advanced impact, offense, defense, role, age, injuries and expected availability were all considered.
This is about value over a full season, not simply who is better when everyone is 100% healthy.
Close spots are always debatable, but this is the order I would go with right now.

Expecting Phoenix to be a Top 10 defensive team again in 26-27 👇🏿
THE DEFINING NUMBER 19/30: PHOENIX SUNS
111.1 opponent points per game.
Phoenix spent last season as one of the worst defensive teams in basketball. This year, that became one of its biggest strengths.
The Suns allowed 111.1 points per game, sixth-fewest in the NBA and down from 116.6 a year earlier. Their defensive rating went from 28th to the top 10, while their opponent turnover rate made the biggest jump of any team in the league.
That turnaround helped Phoenix go from 36 wins and no playoffs to 45 wins and a return to the postseason, even as the offense took a step back.
For a team that needed a new identity, the biggest change wasn’t how much it scored. It was how much harder it became to score against.
What deserves the most credit for Phoenix’s defensive turnaround this season?
