With JUCO being a solid option now and for years to come, I wanted to show success stories from our #jucobandits This level is NOT less than. This level is NOT for the weak. The level is NOT a last option. This level is EVERYTHING you never knew you could need 🙌🏼 #NSRalum @EmilyRicharde Co-Lin Softball 👉🏼 Arkansas Tech Softball @nsrnow “I never intended on going to a junior college. I was committed to an NCAA school and chose to de-commit last minute due to a coaching change. This kick started a series of events that fully feels like “everything happens for a reason”. Juco on its own without touching on the post juco recruitment was one of the best experiences of my life. I played in the most competitive NJCAA D2 conference in the country. At Co-Lin I had the opportunity to improve my game, face high level competition, and gain experience that made me a better teammate and athlete. JUCO is often made out to be a last resort or a low level of softball but the reality is a lot of those athletes are just as good if not better than NCAA athletes. We had the opportunity to play against large division 1 schools (Mississippi State, LSU, and Southeastern to name a few) and almost always had very close games. I had one of the best coaches I could have ever asked for. She pushed me to be better for myself and for my team and fostered my unrivaled desire to win. I got to have one of coolest experiences ever going to the NJCAA D2 nationals 2 years in a row and winning it my sophomore year in 2025. Recruitment wise, juco gave me the opportunity to make more connections through playing non juco schools and through playing top level competition. If I could do it all over again I would choose juco every single time.”
