Las Cruces High says semifinals aren’t good enough. They want to meet their standard, which means making it to the state championship.

Conditioning at the D1 level as a 18 year old freshman was an eye opening experience. 100 degree Las Cruces heat on the NMSU track in August is no joke. But someone said it develops mental toughness.🤣🤣No short cuts. I understand now. RIP Coach Mac🙏🙏🙏
This generation of trainers and players need to listen.

Very powerful words from a man who is more than qualified to coach at the NBA level. Thank you for sharing and staying positive. 🙏🙏

My man Bird really put on a show at the all star game this year. He was the best player in 3-5A all year. I’m so proud of him. Big time congratulations BIRDMAN!!!!

Interesting, I’ve never heard Coach Alford or any other coach discuss how ridiculous it is for the coach’s to be paid the salaries they receive!
"I've never been one that said I don't believe student-athletes shouldn't be paid. But the way it is now is ridiculous. It's utterly ridiculous"
Steve Alford was asked if there's anything he & his staff need to do to help navigate this new landscape of college basketball & here was his response. It's long but worth a listen 👇
