Because of good leverage and direction the majority of balls you hit should be through the oppo gap, if you cant do that, there is something that isnt right.

A statement a hear often "They have presence in the box and play with confidence" Yes they have ownership, built belief and evidence that backs that up. When this relationship starts you need me a lot but gradually the power should shift from me telling you, to you telling me.

If that dynamic doesn't shift 1. You are not learning. 2. I've done you a disservice. Robots don't perform, humans do. You have to stand in the box, you have to face that pressure, its my job to equip you as best as I can for that.

Development is ultimately about getting the player to ownership which provides mental freedom and clarity. Everyone has a physical ceiling, freedom and ownership can get said player to play up to and possibly above their physical ceiling more often.

When most people demo, they dont account for rotation. So when they stand there and say this is what they feel, hands this or that, down, top hand etc, they are correct. You add in their rotation, the orientation flips and the bat is where it needs to be.

Extension and how it happens IMO, is one of the things that is wildly misunderstood. Your arms/hands shouldn't extend or lead the bat towards the ball the entire time, thats how you cut the ball. At some point the hands and bat must switch for the bat to continue rotatating.

Inside of the bats rotation...

If the bat is rotatating through the ball the angle of the lead arm will open wide, like a revolving door. If that angle is short or closed, then the bat is being moved towards the ball.
