It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning. Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same. Prayers to Diana and the family. RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️ Here’s a statement from the family: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever. With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family

Alex Bregman is the personality every fan wishes their players would be. Insane, obsessive, resilient. Hockey player mindset on a baseball field. I can’t believe he’s already back.
Looks like Alex Bregman is back in the lineup for the Cubs at DH for Game 1 of the doubleheader in Boston. Hitting 3rd, with Tyrone Taylor 4th.

Mike Macdonald says culture is basically a fancy word people overcomplicate “It’s a fancy word. We don’t say culture. What is it exactly? I don’t know. Then you start using a bunch of buzzwords and stuff and now you sound like an idiot.” “It’s just how you do everything. It’s just how you operate. Just how we roll. What’s important to us. John Harbaugh said, ‘Shared understanding of principles.’ I thought that was a pretty cool definition.” “What’s helped this year is tightening it down, coming into focus about who we want to be, how we want to operate, what’s important to us. Making it resonate with the guys more.” “Having a more effective message. And hopefully they’re buying in. I think they are. It feels like it. We’ve got great energy. To see everybody celebrate each other is just what it’s all about.”

Marcus Freeman shares why "leading by example" isn't enough. "We don't love leaders by example. Because leaders by example are guys that do what they're told to do, they do everything they're asked, right?" "But they don't say things when their teammates aren't reaching the standard. We can't have that." Real leadership isn't just performing at the standard. It's protecting the standard. "We need more leaders. Guys that are willing to hold their teammates accountable because it's gonna make your teammate better." Accountability isn't about being hard on people. It's about caring enough to not let them settle. "I wanna make everybody in our organization the best they possibly can be. So if I let you cut corners or I don't say something to you when you're falling under the standard, then I'm not helping push you to the best you can be." Leading by example is the baseline. Leading with accountability is the standard. (🎥notredamebusiness)
