Brad Underwood, Chris Jans, Chris Beard, Grant McCasland, Ross Hodge, Todd Phillips and more that have had/having success in this new era. I don’t think it’s an accident that these guys were all very successful JUCO Head Coaches.
I actually do wonder if hiring JUCO coaches is a path mid-majors schools in smaller leagues start to pursue. I think it works with their familiarity with flipping roster quickly. Jeremy Shulman is doing a great job at UT-Martin and Hank Plona was one year removed from JUCO before getting the WKU gig.

Kashie Natt is awesome. One of the most unique players in the country. Does a little bit of everything. Great defender, unreal athlete, can handle the ball. Elite guard rebounder.
FINAL | #OKState 93, Tulsa 85 Kashie Natt had 26 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists and five steals. Latrell Allmond (14), Jacob Walker (12) and Anthony Felesi (10) joined him in double figures. Cowboys were shorthanded but got it done.

Lutz on Kashie Natt: "We’ve had — I don’t know — 10, 12 NBA teams, and I tell them all the same thing: he affects winning, and he affects your locker room. He affects your culture. You want him on your team no matter where you’re at.”

HALF | #OKState 45, Tulsa 40 Natt leads the way with 13 points, six boards and four assists. Shortly before halftime he almost swiped an inbound pass he had no business getting to, Superman diving across the floor to get his mitts on a lazy pass.

Wow, just wow! Reading this letter made me reminisce on how he treated me when I was an unknown 23-year-old junior varsity basketball coach. This is the truest collection of who Bob Huggins is every day.
The Bob Huggins annoucement has brought me more grief and tears than I would have ever thought. So I decided to pour my thoughts into an open letter to the man who always made me feel special. Please share & like in an effort to get this to him. Thank you.

To give people an idea how long these cases last before the actual trial, last night the attorneys in Patterson (athletes v. NCAA/P4 conf) submitted a briefing schedule for discovery and a proposed trial date. That trial date…not expected until February 2029 (yes, ‘29).
Meanwhile, Patterson v. NCAA is quietly becoming the 2nd most important eligibility case in the country. Today, the NCAA asked the Tennessee federal court to hit pause while the 10th Cir. Court of Appeals sorts out the Colorado injunction case. The athletes’ response? Um, no. ⬇️

And this is one of the reasons I’m no longer in the coaching business. It’s great to have a passion for what you do…but having a life and being able to enjoy every ounce of your kids/family is way more important. After my dad unexpectedly passed, there is more to life than this…
