Basketball has a lying problem. Everybody says they want to win. Until winning means fewer shots, harder defense, a smaller role, passing up good for great, and cheering when you thought you’d play more. Everybody wants the trophy. Few want the truth it takes to earn it.

Your role is different than your value.
Your role is what the team needs from you today.
Your value is what you bring every day.
You can count your minutes or make your minutes count.
Excited to see what year 3 brings for Elody! Not only a great player, but a relentless worker, outstanding teammate, and an all-around great kid. #TFT

"When you wear the Kansas uniform, you realize you are just borrowing it for a while. There were 100 years of Kansas Basketball before I got there. There was a long list of great players who were there before me, and there would be many to follow." - Guest editor Nick Collison

As an AD, here’s a reminder for parents:
Competition is hard.
Winning is hard.
Losing is hard.
Being coached is hard.
Accountability is hard.
Competitive sports were never meant to be comfortable.
If you don’t want your child to face hard things, don’t sign them up for competitive athletics.
The struggle is the lesson.
The adversity is the teacher.
The hard is the point.

From today's broadcast at Wimbledon, produced by Tory Zawacki Roy, this is the story of a farmer's desire to create a grass tennis court that turned into something so much more. ESPN presents The Court of Dreams:
My freshman year in the GPAC had 10+ all state players from my class…and those were just the kids from Iowa. Multiple studs from Nebraska and South Dakota as well. That still holds true every year..Go play in one open gym before you think you are above the level.
Last year I think there were 2 players (from the same school) transfer to D1 schools. A year before that the GPAC player of the year transferred to UNI and became a starter. Multiple guys signing pro contracts…and I truly feel like some of the best X’s and O’s coaches in Midwest
I, like many have, thought that I would easily transition to playing in the GPAC. Man was I humbled. So many great players and teams in that league and in NAIA hoops. And I LOVED my experience. The highs and the lows. So grateful to have played at @briarcliffhoops.

‼️ THIS IS A REMINDER TO ALL HS BASKETBALL PLAYERS‼️ Summer is where you separate yourself. Stay disciplined. Get in the gym an hour a day. That’s all you need. You will separate yourself. Look at your screen time… you got an hour to spare.

Well said. Both Coach Green and Coach Tuttle are two of the most down to earth and humble guys in coaching who also know the game at an extremely high level. Can't wait to follow the panthers next season. @stuttle10 @KyleGreenBB
"Seth's (Tuttle) the only All-American we have ever had here, arguably one of the best players ever to play here...we're very fortunate to keep him."
