Congrats to Isaac for bowling a 205 in our JV match against Omaha Central last week!
The Knights had a close one against Gretna today. The match came down to the last couple frames of the last baker game, and we lost 12-9. JV had a good baker round but still lost 13-8. Tomorrow we play Central at West Lanes. @MtMichaelAD
The bowlers faced a tougher challenge today against Elkhorn North. The varsity team lost 19-2 and JV lost 20-1. The Knights have matches with Gretna and Omaha Central over the next two days.
Bowling season is finally here again! The Knights opened with a 20-1 win over Omaha Christian. The varsity and JV teams will be busy with three matches each next week. Roll Knights! @MtMichaelAD @Mount_Michael
Another Decathlon season has come to an end! Great showing by the Knights at nationals, with 11 medals won by the team. Big shout-out to Jaxson Pigg for having the highest score for Mount Michael, and to Nathan Mullin, voted most valuable team member by his peers!
Three schools are representing Nebraska at #USADNats2025 this year. Good luck @Mount_Michael, @CreightonPrep, and @PiusXLincoln!
Day two of nationals brings the rest of the tests, so lots of last-second cramming. A ten minute walk to the events center means ten extra minutes of studying! #USADNats2025
The Acadeca team has arrived in Des Moines for nationals! Making lots of new friends and getting ready to compete. #USADNats2025
We're looking forward to a fun trip and competition!
The Cornhusker State will be well represented by 3 amazing teams at #USADNats2025. We can't wait to see you all represent Nebraska in Des Moines. Good luck!
@Mount_Michael @PiusXLincoln @CreightonPrep
After a team meal, the decathletes got formal for their interviews. Halfway formal, anyway. Despite everyone having to flee to the basement for a tornado warning as interview ended, they all said it went well.
It is Academic Decathlon season again, with the online portion of the national competition happening today. The guys are making their last-second preparations for the essay!
It has been cool watching these guys compete this year!
How cool is this?
Twin brothers win Aca Deca titles for two different schools. @CreightonPrep was the large school champ and @Mount_Michael was the overall school champ.
Both teams will represent NE at Nationals in May! Has this ever happened before @USAD_Main 🤔
The Knights are your overall state champions! We will represent Nebraska at the national competition in May.
State Academic Decathlon is here! The Knights have been working hard and are ready to go. Speech and interview are tonight, with written tests and awards tomorrow.
The bowlers headed to districts today. Two Knights medaled: Stefano Anzalone bowled a 492 series for 10th place, and Syler Sennett had a 510 series for 8th place. The team beat Omaha Christian Academy in bracket play but fell to Skutt in the semifinals. Great season, Knights!
It's time for another esports season at the Mount! This spring we have a Rocket League team, and they started the season with a win over Auburn.
