Gavin Cree

Got to meet fellow MIHS and ⁦@MIHSBoysHoops⁩ alum ⁦@joelmchale⁩ today as he emceed the ⁦Breakfast of Champions fundraiser. A down to earth dude who hasn’t forgotten where he came from! Asked about the team and said he wants to come to a game. Let’s make it happen!

Island Hoop Camp - June 22-25, 29-30 & July 1-2, Grades K-4 & 5-8. Camps are co-ed & led by Gavin Cree, 17-year HC at MIHS and 7x Kingco COY, and staff with HS, college and pro experience. The player-coach ratio will be 8:1, and camps focus on skill development and competition.

Excited for this group of kids! Winners! Congrats to the players and coaches.

Ed Pepple Court loading… Well deserved for the Pepple family. Excited to work on this court every day. What an inspiration for @MIHSBoysHoops. Thank you @mercerislandsd and everyone who helped this process forward!

Many don’t know I’ve been an assistant for the XC teams for 10 yrs. A few days ago, this group went double back 2 back (boys and girls). Incredible. It’s amazing what you can accomplish when ALL arrows are pointed in the same direction! Congrats Coach Empey, the staff & the kids!

Be a part of the Islander basketball legacy! Little Dribblers is a 50+ year tradition, connecting generations. Kids in grades 3-8 are split into teams coached by the MIHS boys basketball players, led by me, Coach Gavin Cree. Saturdays! Registration: go.teamsnap.com/forms/505015

So let me get this straight, Yamamoto can go 9 innings in the WS, but Kirby can’t go more than 4 in the ALCS game 7? All this pitching we talked about for years? SMH.

Not much more to say than this. I’m a coach so I feel for Dan. We all make plenty of coaching mistakes. We all get better over time. I hope he learns from this since I assume he’ll be back.

As I stew on OKC winning a gift of a game 7 w/ the best player on the Pacers hurt, I am proud of our @MIHSBoysHoops squad. A 4-2 finish at UO Team Camp capped by a gritty win against a good Churchill (OR) squad in the finale. I love coaching our team! Passion, Grit, Selflessness!

Go Nuggets!
