Madison Kryger is just 16 years old and just earned her spot on her first national world championship team for Canada.
She’s been overwhelmed with emotion since touching the wall to stop the clock first in the 200m backstroke.
A chat with Madison after this great moment for her

The last swimmer to win two individual golds in one night was Kornelia Ender in 1976. Before that it was Fred Lane in 1900. He won the 200 free and 200 metres obstacle course on August 12th. Alfred Hajos, the first Olympic gold medalist, won the 100 free and 1200 free on the same day in 1986.
Given that Ender has essentially admitted to doping, it's been 124 years since someone has done this clean.

The fastest 100 freestyle in history by the 17-year-old phenom David Popovici. 46.86. Absolutely insane.

Behind the scenes, on the sidelines, and certainly, on the playing field, this recognition is well-deserved for the talented individuals that make up the conference.

Media are like hawks when there is controversy or something contentious. Why not highlight a success story - like we did in the ‘ole days?
Some coverage from @swimswamnews and a plethora of social media coverage... that's about all the vast majority of Olympic sports get -- niche media and social media. Don't think anyone was expecting anything more.
