The fastest guy in the outfield is usually not the best outfielder. College coaches figured that out a long time ago. They time your 60 to guess at your range. Then they watch your film to find out they guessed wrong. Here's what actually gets an OF recruited 🧵

How Kaden Went From Prospect Camps to the Ivy League 👇 We break down each stage of the College Baseball Recruiting & Advising Process: 1. Before 2. Objective College Recruiting Evaluation 3. Personalized Recruiting Game Plan 4. Promotional Process 5. College Recruiting Results 6. College Commitment * Whether you want to handle recruiting on your own or see if you qualify for our professional college advising program, this story will help you. 1. Before The Kuhn family started the way so many families do, attending prospect camp after prospect camp, chasing showcases, making campus visits, hoping exposure alone would be enough. Those reps were valuable and opened real doors. But somewhere along the way they realized hope and hustle weren't going to get Kaden where he wanted to go. Only 2–3% of high school varsity players ever get recruited directly to a D1 program, and with NCAA roster reductions and the transfer portal creating a kind of free agency, the landscape is more competitive than ever. Talent alone wasn't enough. They needed a strategy. 2. Objective & Honest College Recruiting Evaluation After one of our expert College Recruiting Advisors evaluated Kaden's video, stats, and grades, we met with the family to go over: - Honest & objective scouting report - Video & metrics evaluation - Family's athletic AND academic goals - Existing target list of colleges - College prospect potential At the center of it all was Kaden's personal recruiting advisor, Coach Ryan Thompson (@CoachThompsonRL). He told the family the truth, not just what they wanted to hear: exactly where Kaden fit, and just as importantly, where he didn't. That clarity became the whole plan. 3. Personalized Recruiting Game Plan Instead of casting a wide net and hoping something stuck, the family finally had a focused plan built around where Kaden could genuinely thrive: - Online Recruiting Profile & film strategy dialed in, what to shoot, how to present it, what coaches actually want to see - Metrics & stats verified - Strategic target list built around real athletic + academic fit - Body work: Coach Ryan helped Kaden sharpen his mechanics, flexibility, and overall athleticism - Developing the whole athlete, not just marketing the player he already was 4. Promotional Process Coach Ryan went to work and stayed in constant communication with Kaden and both parents: - Proactively picked up the phone and connected with target coaches - Laid the groundwork with advocacy and pre-messaging long before those coaches ever watched a highlight reel - Advocated on Kaden's behalf in front of the right programs This wasn't scattered interest. It was real, qualified attention from programs that actually made sense for Kaden's future. 5. College Recruiting Results Almost immediately, the family felt new momentum; a stressful, uncertain process turned into multiple attractive offers from programs where Kaden truly fit. When it came time for the decision every family dreads- weighing offers, campus culture, coaching staffs, and academics all at once— Coach Ryan helped ground the Kuhns in what mattered most. 6. College Commitment Kaden Kuhn (@kadenkuhn_2026) is headed to Cornell University. Why Cornell? It checks every box: - Powerhouse Division 1 baseball - Incredible coaches and teammates who push him every day - One of the nation's premier engineering programs - The weight and reputation of an Ivy League education - The rare combination of sky-high standards in BOTH athletics and academics It's not just a college decision. It's a launching pad for the rest of his life. "Don't wait until you're overwhelmed and out of options. Get the right people in your corner early. Because with the right guidance, the same door that once felt closed can swing wide open." — The Kuhn Family Good luck at Cornell, Kaden 🐻 Attention Players & Parents: Kaden's journey is proof that even talented athletes who are already getting noticed can benefit from the right guidance. Over the last 15 years, SportsForce has helped more than 1,000 student-athletes and families navigate the recruiting process — saving families an average of $80,000 in college expenses along the way. How Max Went From "Some Attention" to Boston College? We break down each stage of the College Baseball Recruiting & Advising Process: 1. Before 2. Objective College Recruiting Evaluation 3. Personalized Recruiting Game Plan 4. Promotional Process 5. College Recruiting Results 6. College Commitment * Whether you want to handle recruiting on your own or see if you qualify for our professional college advising program, this story will help you. 1. Before Max wasn't starting from zero. He was already talented and already getting looks from programs. But in today's landscape, "some attention" isn't the same as the right attention. The family knew a promising profile could still stall out without more eyes on it, and more doors opened. 2. Objective & Honest College Recruiting Evaluation After one of our expert College Recruiting Advisors evaluated Max's video, stats, and grades, we met with the family to go over: - Honest & objective scouting report - Video & metrics evaluation - Family's college goals - Existing target list of colleges - College prospect potential We also dug into their current recruiting efforts, the gap between where Max stood and where the family wanted him to end up, and whether the partnership was a fit both ways under our Selection Criteria: - Quality Academic Standing - Qualified College Baseball Prospect - Open & Coachable Student-Athlete - Open & Coachable Parents - Character Commitment On & Off the Field More Than an Advisor What stood out most to the Goldberg family wasn't just the results — it was the relationship. Max's personal recruiting advisor, John Cackowski (@cack92), reached out to multiple schools on his behalf and compiled a detailed scouting report showcasing his abilities. But beyond the strategy and the outreach, he became something more valuable: a trusted sounding board and ultimately, a friend. 3. Personalized Recruiting Game Plan Once the family enrolled, we got moving: - Online Recruiting Profile set up - Metrics & stats verified - Video reviewed and professionally edited - Strategic target list built - Promotion & recruiting exposure plan developed - Camp and showcase options evaluated strategically 4. Promotional Process Max's personal recruiting advisor, John Cackowski, went to work: - Compiled a detailed scouting report showcasing Max's abilities - Direct outreach to multiple college programs on his behalf - Ongoing coaching calls and communication with the family throughout 5. College Recruiting Results As Max's father put it: SportsForce brought many more eyes onto his son. More programs. More coaches. More doors opened, turning a promising profile into a full-blown Division 1 opportunity. 6. College Commitment Why Boston College? Max's dad didn't hesitate: it was the best fit and the best opportunity. Not the flashiest offer. Not the loudest pitch. Simply the right combination of program, coaches, and future. - Division 1 - High academic - Right coaching staff - Right athletic AND academic fit - A dream he's chased his entire life "Even if your son is already getting some attention, don't assume that's enough. The right guidance can open doors you didn't know existed and turn a good opportunity into the perfect fit." — Max's father Good luck as an Eagle, Max 🦅 @Max_Goldberg23 Attention Players & Parents: Max's journey is proof that even talented athletes who are already getting noticed can benefit from the right guidance. Over the last 15 years, SportsForce has helped more than 1,000 student-athletes and families navigate the recruiting process — saving families an average of $80,000 in college expenses along the way.
