I heard nothing negative until he went to St Frances. I’ve had 37 years in Maryland as a coach, very successful at that, It was all good as long as he was at Gilman..🤷🏿♂️ JMO
I agree!
Mike Locksley on what plagued him most at Maryland:
“The hardest thing I dealt with here was not recruiting players - it’s being able to get the right coaches and assistants with me. For whatever reason, I struggled to keep the really good coaches I had because we win, we were having success, and people come hire em. I was not able to keep consistency with the staff. And then NIL hit.”
An old Co D made me laugh this morning! I tell y’all I am so grateful that @AJFrancis410 saved my life! Dudes I was hanging with caught 20yrs on an out of town trip I was supposed to be on as well. I got a page to go Planned Parenthood in Glen Burnie & didn’t make the trip!
Thanks for facts coach! @RobLongSports
Was Mike Locksley really the problem at Maryland?
@RobLongSports and @JConnSports discuss his ability to bring talent into the program, what went wrong for the Terps, and why they must be willing to financially back their next head coach to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
I’m not a public figure or superstar, but I would like to come on and talk about this. Pin this post & let’s revisit in 2031 when you still haven’t invested like other B10 schools! The buyout $ come from? If that’s the case, why wasn’t it in the budget? JMO 🤷🏿♂️
Let’s explain a couple things about the Maryland coaching search now that the #Terps have moved on from Mike Locksley…
“This isn’t like the Ravens job where there was a desire for it and you could rule people out. You are beggars. This is the worst Power 2 job that exists.”
I have a friend who has been sitting in the ER AT @HopkinsMedicine ER for 16 hours unseen
There were a couple people on Coach Ralphs staff as qualified as the guy they brought in! Coaches Franklin & Locks will always receive my respect for what they endured! As coaches of color, we strive to get jobs like this, and we need to support them! I have their backs!
Real deal! Day 1 officiating.
Sending this for your laugh of the day! @CoachLocks & @coachjfranklin @CoachBCosh @CoachCosh
@CoachSollazzo and the legend @CoachFridge i have joined the other side!
