I was at the USAB Mini Camp in the fall of 2014. I remember Brunson & Luke Kennard staying after dismissal of the morning session and getting extra shots.
They circled the arc shooting 3s, taking turns. Every other player gone. Just them & a bunch of media guys milling around. And they just kept shooting. More than a few minutes, probably 30 minutes or more. What I saw was almost obsessive from those two.
Both were esteemed prospects, but the sense was that they were good roster guys to help win games for USA Basketball.
Guys like Trier and Newman were thought of as more likely NBA prospects. Aside from Jaylen Brown, those two guys have had the most successful run of any guys in the camp in the 2015 grad class.
Moments like that stick with me. It's hard to predict in the moment what is in the future. But sometimes you can see things before it materializes.

Gaining Confidence
2028 G Kelvin โKJโ Hill continued to build confidence with every game this summer, carrying that growth into fall league with the Houston County Bears.
Hill has a knack for tracking down offensive rebounds, keeping possessions alive, and creating second chance opportunities for his team. His willingness to crash the boards and compete for extra possessions allows him to make an impact beyond scoring.
Look for KJ to bring that growing confidence and effort into the season for the Bears.

Earn Respect
2028 G Christian Grant played with a chip on his shoulder throughout the spring and summer, earning the respect of our coaching staff through his competitive attitude and play. Now, heโs taking that same mentality back to Perry High School this winter.
Grant shot the ball well and caught the attention of evaluators at several events we competed in. His confidence and willingness to compete helped him make an impression throughout the summer.
Look for Grant to carry that edge into the season as he continues to earn respect and make his mark for the Panthers.

Swiss Army Knife
2028 6โ4โ forward Edmund Dantes wears many hats for the Demons, bringing versatility that impacts the game on both ends of the floor.
Dantes can guard positions 1 through 5, use his instincts to block shots, and rebound at a high level on both ends. Offensively, his ability to score in multiple ways gives Warner Robins options and creates matchup problems for opposing defenses.
That versatility caught the attention of college coaches this summer. Now, Edmund looks to carry that momentum into the high school season and do whatever the Demons need to win.

The Sniper
When Jarvis Williams gets his feet set, defenses know they have a problem. The 2028 6โ1โ shooting guard was recognized by some evaluators as one of the top shooters on the On The Radar circuit this past summer, but Williams also put in the work to expand his game.
Throughout the spring and summer, he showed growth in creating off the dribble, getting into his pull up jumper, and finding scoring opportunities beyond the three point line. He also took on more responsibility orchestrating the offense, rebounding, and competing with greater toughness on the defensive end.
With an offer from Morris College, the Central Chargers guard heads into the high school season looking to build on that progress. The shooting gets your attention, but his continued development gives you even more reason to watch.
