Update from Lux Smith’s mom: What a comeback💛 Lux had ZERO previous existing conditions. 100% healthy athlete, just had a physical before the heat stroke. Then everything changed in an instant. The most jaundice kid they’d ever seen. Brain injury, liver failure, kidney failure, pneumonia twice, respiratory failure..the list goes on and on. We were told 3 separate times that Lux was going to die..did we want them to resuscitate? For how long? How many times? What does life look like long term for Lux if you keep doing this? Questions that are hard to hear. We told them to do whatever they could to keep him alive because we knew he was in there. From death to life ✨ thank you Jesus!! We are heading home next week!
