Great actor and person.
Tom Skerritt is gone at 93.
Viper from Top Gun. Captain Dallas in Alien. Duke in MASH. The dad in A River Runs Through It. An Emmy for Picket Fences.
Before Hollywood, he served in the United States Air Force.
No scandals. No lectures. Just a working man's actor who showed up and made every movie better.
They don't make them like Tom anymore.
Rest easy, Viper.
It’s all about the money with the NFL.
Why in the hell is the NFL sending American football players into Paris while the city is dealing with violent riots and civil unrest?
The Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints are scheduled to play there Sunday, despite serious security concerns.
The NFL says they’re increasing security. Wonderful. But why put these players, coaches, families and fans in that position to begin with?
These men signed up to play football, not navigate riots in a foreign country.
At what point does chasing international revenue become more important than protecting your own people?
Roger Goodell owes America an answer.

HEARTBREAKING: A father who lost his son on 9/11 is desperately searching for his hat after losing it at the #Steelers game in Tampa Bay this week.
Patrick Siewak says his hat flew off near the escalators and was picked up by another fan.
The hat contains a special 9/11 memorial pin honoring his late son.
He is offering a reward for its return.
Please help spread the word and reunite this father with something that means so much to him.
💔🙏
A real hero. Thank God for men and women like him.
🚨INCREDIBLE: He was burning alive, yet he kept re-entering the burning Bradley Fighting Vehicle until all six soldiers and the Iraqi interpreter were safe.
Burns covered 72% of his body. His first words were, ‘How are my boys?’ He died three weeks later.
It took 16 years for him to receive the Medal of Honor. HIS NAME IS SERGEANT FIRST CLASS ALWYN C. CASHE, NEVER FORGET!
That’s why I quit watching that trash
The NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles almost killed Jalen Hurts for a Week 5 international showcase.
The full details of what happened behind closed doors in London just surfaced, and the negligence is staggering.
Before kickoff in London, Hurts was in a hospital bed until 4:00 AM undergoing emergency vascular testing. Medical staff instructed him not to sleep because sleep was considered an active health risk.
Instead of shutting down their $255 million franchise quarterback, the team cleared him to play 60 minutes of brutal, high-impact collision football on zero sleep.
Then, they loaded him onto a pressurized, 8-hour transatlantic flight back to Philadelphia.
Every doctor on the planet knows that long-haul flights and cabin pressure are the exact triggers that cause lower-extremity blood clots to break free. The Eagles spent days assuring the public it was just a "minor, superficial calf clot".
Now the truth comes out: the clot dislodged, shot through his bloodstream, and caused multiple pulmonary emboli in his lungs.
Hurts is officially out for the season, placed on blood thinners where taking a single routine tackle could cause a fatal internal hemorrhage.
He isn't just lucky to play football again, he is lucky to be alive.
When the NFL preaches "player safety," remember this moment. They ran a human being into the ground for television ratings in the UK, almost lost him to a preventable medical catastrophe, and cratered their entire season in the process.
Who inside that building signed off on letting him play and board that flight?
Agreed.
Oh do I have a true story for you today…
Trip to Walmart today, I saw
an elderly lady stocking shelves. She dropped an item, I picked it up for her. In a very feeble voice, she says thank you. I asked how old she was, in her late 80’s. We talked a minute or two, she is going through so much, trying to survive.
I gave her a $100 bill, told her to get something she needed.
Why is anyone this old, in the United States, working? Why do politicians insist on taking care of the rest of the world? I'll never understand it, they are suppose to work for us!
Something needs to change. All I see is no respect, no discipline, no morals, want everything free!
It's a damn shame! People wonder why I hate politicians so bad!
We need term limits, NOW!
I’m not a millionaire, struggle myself. But, I’ll be damned if I’ll watch an elderly person, near 90 years old do this shit, just to survive!
Liked them in the movie night of the grizzly. Great actor and even better person.
Here to satisfy your appetite for trivia !
Remember Clint Walker, the 6-foot-6 star of the Western series Cheyenne? His most incredible story happened off camera.
In 1971, while skiing at Mammoth Mountain, California, a ski pole pierced his chest and penetrated his heart
At the hospital, two doctors reportedly pronounced him dead. But a third detected signs of life, and emergency surgery saved him.
Walker later described a near-death experience, saying he felt overwhelming peace and asked God to let him return because he still had things to accomplish.
Incredibly, he was back at work in about 2 months.
He lived another 47 years, passing away in 2018 at age 90.
How many remember watching Cheyenne?
What a life he had.
I was honored to meet Chuck Yeager, twice.
I had dinner with him back in the 1990s when I was attending Air Command and Staff College. Mid-level PME and a really cool year.
We had this thing called “Gathering of Eagles,” where the baddest ass Air Force pilots and Medal of Honor recipients would visit and speak. And then do dinner.
I was invited to hang out with General Yeager. He was incredible. We talked flying the whole time. Fascinating guy!
A little full of himself…but I would’ve been too!
Very cool
Have you ever walked through the White House unaccompanied at night? It’s amazing.
I used to walk around when I was living there. Just killing time and soaking it in.
My favorite room was the library. It smelled like history. American history. One night, I pulled a book off the shelf that was given to George Washington. The inscription was still there. George Washington held that book at one moment in time. And so did I. Simply amazing.
