This is where collegiate athletics has gone in some ways. Absurd!!!
Boston College fired longtime MBB broadcasters because new coach Luke Murray didn’t want anyone tied to old staff awfulannouncing.com/college-…

The final scene of The Wonder Years took place on the Fourth Of July and it hits you right in the chest. Happy 250th America 🇺🇸

As an AD, I often hear people say, “Winning is not important.”
I disagree.
Winning is important, but the journey required to become a winner is even more important.
The goal is to maximize an athlete’s talent through adversity while teaching resilience, discipline, and accountability.
Losing should hurt, because standards matter. But every loss should become one step closer to winning.
If we tell athletes winning is not important, we are not preparing them for life.
The pursuit of winning teaches lessons that last far beyond the scoreboard.
Professionalism in coaching is becoming a lost art. If you commit to a jamboree don't back out last minute after schedules go out because you as HC can't attend (let an assistant learn!) or because you "need more practice" So many don't realize the organizational skills. 💬
Great hire for @mttabor_sports! 👏
Wingate Smith has been named the next athletics director at Mount Tabor. Smith has been a coach and assistant AD the last several years at @RRHSAthletics.
He succeeds Patrick Cromwell, who is stepping down at the end of the school year.

Everyone reaches out when a Head Coach gets a job - either congratulations or wanting a position on staff
Few reach out when a Head Coach is let go
Until you’re through it, you don’t know how much it means & the impact it makes hearing from others in the hard times
What a story 📖 still being written 🖊️

Call me old school, but it just doesn’t sit right with me watching high school teams seasons come to an end and not even hours later, players from losing team posting pics of themselves or their in-game highlights from said loss on social media.
Tomorrow is the day that matches/games/contests can officially start for @NCHSAA Spring Sports! Let's get those rosters and full schedules into @MaxPreps coaches. It isn't rocket 🚀 science. @Nchsmtntennis
