Why I wanted to be a coach. Growing up I went to many football games. And I listened to the crowd. Inner city black teams had no discipline and bad coaching. They can’t win the big game. So I always wanted to change that narrative.

Great News for Team Sharyland!
Last night, the Sharyland ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026-2027 Compensation Plan, which includes a $1,200 pay increase for teachers, nurses, and librarians as part of the step; a 2% general pay increase from the pay grade midpoint for all permanent full-time and part-time employees; and market equitization increases ranging from 6% to 30% for our bus drivers.
This investment reflects our Board’s continued commitment to attracting, supporting, and retaining the exceptional employees who make a difference in the lives of our students every day. We are grateful for their leadership and for recognizing the dedication, hard work, and service of Team Sharyland.
