Y’all think we can show the college sports world just how elite this place really is tomorrow and have the stands filled from 11:30 all the way thru 3:30?! I’m talking about creating electricity all day - pregame to postgame.
It’s going to take a concerted effort from every alum, student, fan, and friend. Let’s do it!

James Madison Football mourns the passing of John Paul Macri. His strength and courage were an inspiration to all of us, and his impact on our program, our school, and our community is beyond measure.
John Paul taught us many lessons, and his legacy will remain close in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this tremendously difficult time.

A truly heartbreaking loss for the JMU community today.
John Paul Macri, who became close with the football program following his DIPG diagnosis in 2025, passed away last night. His mother, Katie, shared the news on social media.
Katie and Nick Macri talked with me back in 2025 about John Paul, and it’s an interview and story I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
My thoughts are with the Macri family.
