28’ 1B Xavier Johnson (FL) Durable, compact frame with present strength. Whips the barrel through the zone generating quality bat speed. Lines this ball over the LF wall for a solo shot! #WWBAWorlds

A.J. Dungan (‘28 TN) up to 94 on the mound throwing it extremely firm using a hard SL in the mid 80s running tight and a CH in the low 80s that had some fade, very good projection at 6’4/160 with length to the frame. @PG_Uncommitted #WWBA @PG_Tennessee

As an Athletic Director, I constantly remind our athletes to embrace hard and embrace adversity because it is coming whether you want it or not. Life does not promise comfort. It promises challenges. The athletes who grow the most are not the ones who avoid difficult moments, but the ones who face them head on. Hard builds discipline. Adversity builds character. Failure builds resilience. Those lessons will carry you much further than any trophy, scholarship, or championship ever could. Don’t run from the struggle. Lean into it. The person you become through adversity is far more valuable than the success you achieve because of it.

Kayden Lucas (‘30 FL) hammers this one to center, showing off the strength to the middle of the field. Stays through it with the barrel & good bat speed; hit right at the CF. #14uWWBA @Florida_PG

At the beginning of each season I set goals for myself and my game to reach and/or exceed. My Coach @n8angelo taught me to write them in a journal, talk about them, breathe and live them day in and day out. Whether that is with my trainers, coaches, teammates and/or family! I’m continuing to do that and seeing my hard work pay off each time I step on the field, attend a showcase, go to a workout/training! God is good and will continue to be grateful to him! 🙏🏼💙💪🏼 Thankful and grateful for the coaches and trainers in my life and who have helped me on this journey! This book is still being written….📝⏳✝️ next stop High school baseball @TFABaseball_ @TheFirstAcademy @TFA_Athletics @CoachKunk instagram.com/kaydenlucas0?i…

I’ve heard this a ton from D1 coaches over the past year. It’s really becoming clear that the Portal is good for filling in gaps, but if it’s how you’re building your program - it’s probably not going to work out. It’s hard to get buy-in and build program culture when you’re turning over your roster every 9 months!
“I made some mistakes in constructing the team.” Jay Johnson with some brutal honesty about what has gone wrong for LSU this season … SHEESH 🫢

Curt Cignetti on his program's philosophy on how not to be average: 🎭 Average is a decision disguised as a default. Make standards visible, measurable, and non-negotiable. Because what you tolerate becomes your identity. 🤝 Most people negotiate with the work; elite teams eliminate the negotiation. The gap isn’t talent, it’s the daily refusal to accept “good enough” in reps, details, and accountability. 🧱 You don’t rise above average in big moments, you escape it in small ones. Every meeting, drill, and conversation is either reinforcing the standard, or quietly lowering it.
