Mindfulness isn't emptying your mind.
It's learning to direct your attention intentionally.
Like any skill, it can be developed.
Elite performers have a deeper toolbox because they know where (and how) to place their attention.
Another tool is to ZOOM OUT.
See the bigger picture.
Gain perspective.
Respond instead of react.
One bad practice doesn't define a season.
One mistake doesn't define an athlete.
Perspective keeps temporary setbacks from becoming permanent obstacles.
Greatness doesn’t happen in one moment.
It is prepared in thousands of unremarkable ones.
Daring to be great is not a dream…
it is a daily decision.
Success asks,
"What did you accomplish?"
Legacy asks,
"Who is better because you were here?"
Build something that lasts longer than the scoreboard.
One day you'll play your last game.
Coach your last practice.
Attend your last team meeting.
Don't let ambition keep you from appreciating the privilege of today.
Gratitude and excellence aren't competitors.
They make each other stronger.
Talent may open a door.
But wasted talent is almost cliché.
You determine how far you walk through that door.
Never miss that opportunity.

The goal was never just to "play college football."
The goal is to become the kind of teammate, student, son, and man that football helps develop.

Recruiting truth:
Don't confuse attention with opportunity.
One sincere offer from a program that believes in you is worth more than a hundred social media posts chasing validation.
Find the place where you can grow.
Then go earn it.
Too many athletes spend their high school careers chasing the next level...
...and forget to enjoy the level they're on.
One day you'll wish you had one more practice.
One more bus ride.
One more Friday night under the lights.
Don't rush the chapter you're living.
