Before you swing hard, try this
Simple but 🔥 progression for hitters demonstrated by Georgia Southern Athlete Valerie Combs this week during break. Pop about 3-5 of each (or stick at one if needed until you feel it). It’s a great primer for full swing sessions.
• No-Legs Power V — heels down. Own direction first.
• No-Stride Power V — legs come in as low-end power. Direction still wins.
• No-Stride Pause Finishers — swing through, pause, then fake the finish.
• Shut-Down Finishers — intent is violent to contact, then shut it down and let it finish naturally.
• Stride to Power V — start setting up your game. Think pre-swing moves.
• Stride to Pause Finish — blend timing + control.
• Full Swings — let ’em rip. Different fields on command.
If this helps one hitter, it did its job.
🎄 Merry Christmas

IMO—Too many hitters finish extension “drills”by pointing at the sky—looks cool, but it’s missing the point.
Extension isn’t about going up, it’s about staying through.
Real power = staying below the head (chest to belly button, pitch depending).
Stay connected. Stay through.

Kind of fun to watch these @Brewers play… stealing bases, grinding out at-bats, bunting…best record in the league with this old-timey stuff…

Love how long shoulders stay square as hands get going with backside! Great hitters hit great pitching and great swings help us do that longer and more consistently against all types of pitchers, pitches, locations, and timings!

This is an incredible story from the perspective of @hunterpence and his pursuit to continue to play the game that he loves. On top of that, what a tribute to @LattaDoug and his ability to give Hunter a roadmap to continue his journey.
Last offseason had its ups and downs but it brought an adventure and learning experiences I never expected. The #PenceMethod documented it all! Watch it NOW on YouTube!! youtube.com/watch?v=yYEIZgpv… Thanks for the outpouring support and love. @FOXSports @uninterrupted

One of the great lies of the devil is that you can’t really be completely clean. But if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Glasnow consistently sits 96-100. This is me an old man at 49 years old. I know what Velo looks like. Bartolo in 1999 would be over 100 easily. It’s measured different today.

“Murphy has adapted and evolved in his role in Milwaukee. He’s no longer the drill sergeant he was in his college coaching years, but he has kept many of the bits and pieces that always made him a magnetic and enigmatic personality.”
From Arizona State to Milwaukee, @Brewers manager Pat Murphy has always led in his own distinctive way, getting the most out of his overlooked players in the process.

Try this on for size then: “Not all Israel is Israel” (Rom 9:6)
Not all elect are elect. Not all who are in the Church are of the Church. Not all who are baptized in the Church are baptized in their heart, by the Spirit. Not all who are in Christ are of Christ. Not all who are in the covenant have the covenant in them. Not everyone who lives in America is a faithful American. Not every member of the Smith family wants to be a member of the Smith family. Not everyone who works for Google has Googleism on their heart and brain, or coming out their fingertips. (And I can attest to this last point, because I swear every time I call Google customer service to get some help, they are some of the most clueless and incompetent people alive. I think Google is intentionally trying to sabotage its own business!🤣)

I always thought of batting average as both the hardest and most important thing to do in the sport. There is nothing more enjoyable than going to the game and watching your fave player get a couple hits.

Once the front heel lands in the swing, the weight shift has to stop so the body can rotate behind that front side. That’s how the barrel actually gets to launch through the baseball.
If he leaks forward past that heel, the path gets steep and the power disappears. You can see it from the bleachers. Plant. Brace. Then turn. He doesn’t need a hitting lab to feel that. A tee, a net, and you watching whether the front side holds.
A lot of kids look like they’re “using their legs” because they’re moving toward the pitcher. Moving through and rotating behind a firm front side are not the same thing
