Trump is a grifter
Replying to @FTMDaily
Donald Trump.
Qatar, which funds the Muslim Brotherhood and hosts/funds Hamas leaders, gifted a $400 million Boeing 747 to the US for use as Air Force One under Trump. El-Sayed has taken campaign donations from private individuals with MB/Hamas-linked ties, but no major gifts from any such government.
All those with Trump Devotion Syndrome should read the full transcript....
TIME Magazine has released the full, unedited transcript of its interview with Trump alongside its cover story I put in the comments. I had to take several breaks to get through it, it's bad, really bad, because it's our President. If you've ever visited a loved one in a Memory Care facility you'd know the residents can give hours long dissertations without saying anything of substance, long strings of filterless free association that could lead anywhere. While Trump has always been a narcissist and a con man, he was also an effective communicator, you can't pull a successful con without that skill. What we see in this interview seems to be truly disturbing and we need to face it together as a nation and do something about it. Please take the time to read.

How it is supposed to be for grown-ups
Barack Obama at his last press briefing with reporters, 2017:
"I have enjoyed working with all of you. That does not, of course, mean that I've enjoyed every story that you have filed, but that's the point of this relationship. You're not supposed to be sycophants. You're supposed to be skeptics. You're supposed to ask me tough questions. You're not supposed to be complimentary, but you're supposed to cast a critical eye on folks who hold enormous power."
Logistically, seems easier to get it from Canada...oh right, we have a spoiled brat as POTUS and he ruined our trading relationship for no good reason
Ok, so, a short recap of what’s happened:
Farmers need potash as fertilizer. Potash is necessary to grow food and feed the world.
Yet Trump started a completely pointless war in Iran which choked off the Strait of Hormuz. This limits the world supply of potash, as million of tons of it come from Jordan and must travel through the Strait.
Ok, no problem. Our friendly neighbors to the north of us just happen to be the world’s #1 exporter of potash. We’ll just buy from them!
Oh wait, Trump completely wrecked our friendship with Canada for literally no reason by slapping them with egregious tariffs and insulting them by calling them the 51st state.
Well, darn. Ok, then we’ll make a deal with the #4 exporter of potash, Belarus. Belarus is a dictatorship and one of Putin’s satellite states. So, by buying from Belarus, we are indirectly helping Putin fund his war in Ukraine. Not good, but we need to eat.
Oh wait, all of Belarus’ potash has already been spoken for. There’s none for us to buy.
The USA is going to be in deep crap next growing season, and it’s not the kind of crap that can fertilize a field. There WILL be food shortages. Americans WILL go hungry.
That’s the art of the deal, baby!
Good SOP
Tiny note for coaches:
Most "after action review," a fancy name for you circling up with your staff after practice and asking "how'd that go?" is retrospective and subjective.
That is: It's us trying to answer questions that require data we weren't looking for all along.
If you ask "Was our defensive spacing better?" but you didn't assign someone to be looking for it all along, you end up with people trying to remember data points about something they weren't really looking at systematically.
The answer you're likely to get is, "Yeah, I think it was pretty good."
But really that's the group guessing at the answer.
Solution: Assign observation tasks to staff members before the session. Align them to your debrief. "Carlo and Michael will you guys be watching our defensive spacing especially during the last two activities. I'll be counting on you to bring some insights about how we did to the debrief."
At the debrief you want: "Our spacing was mostly good... 70 percent of the time we were where we should be but we react slowly when the pick up point is higher and Kevin still tends to be too narrow."
Bonus: this is a great way to make members of your staff feel important.
Good data starts with intentional observation.
This is really good Coach...can apply to a lot of sports these days...

Fantastic story ...and this quote...Leadership,” Bill Bradley wrote, “means getting people to think, believe, see and do what they might not have without you.”
When Thunder GM Sam Presti was 17, he played one-on-one against a random guy at a health club outside Boston.
The moment was so memorable and formative, he decided to track the guy down 30 years later.
And that was just the beginning of the story.
