Teddy Bridgewater paid out of pocket for training camp ($14K), pride sets ($9,500), pregame meals ($2,200/wk), recovery ($1,300/wk), Ubers ($700/wk), field paint ($300/wk).
He did this as a VOLUNTEER, not employee. We shouldn’t be punishing people for improving their community.
Teddy Bridgewater suspended from Miami Northwestern for reportedly giving impermissible benefits to his players
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Bridgewater was not an employee of Miami Northwestern and did all of this as a volunteer in which he self reported the funds he donated to the facilities. Bridgewater stated it’s not possible to be investigated for this and to be suspended from a program he doesn’t work for.
