The Florida St offensive holding call was not a foul.
The contact by the BYU defender was defensive pass interference.

I didn’t realize we were upon the anniversary of the 1992 NLCS “Sid Bream” game between the @Braves and @Pirates.
Baseball history and a lot of dreams changed in an instant that night. I talked a few years back to many of those involved:

This clip explains so much of my outlook on baseball and life as a yinzer born and raised 10 minutes from Three Rivers and PNC Park.
You’ll see a lot of “OTD in 1992” posts today, but if you’re a #Pirates fan this is the most poignant:
In 2010, Andy Van Slyke shared how the pain still lingered from the ‘92 NLCS Game 7 loss, speaking for all #Pittsburgh fans in doing so:

The Norm entrance jokes on Cheers were famously tough to write.
George Wendt delivered 200+ of them over 11 seasons. As the show’s popularity grew, so did expectations. Writers said the real genius wasn’t always on the page; it was Wendt’s physical comedy, delivery, and timing.

An all-time trifecta for the great Willie Stargell that year—NL MVP, NLCS MVP, WS MVP. A feat so rare it has only happened once and will likely never be achieved again.
Willie Stargell was 39 years old in 1979 and still helped lead Pittsburgh to a World Series championship while sharing the National League MVP award. "Pops" wasn't simply the veteran voice in the clubhouse.
He was still producing at an MVP level for the team that won it all. That's what makes the 1979 highlights so much better than a normal late-career tribute.

It was reported that Al Braca climbed atop his desk in the Twin Towers and said, "I'm going to Heaven, who's going with me." He then proclaimed the Gospel to his coworkers. Al's body was one of the very few that was found intact in the rubble.
Al's office was above where the first jet crashed - he was not getting out. Those who were trapped with Al and heard the Gospel message, and received Jesus as their Lord and Savior were blessed in that they were afforded this last chance. Many were not so fortunate. Therein lies a lesson: no one is promised a ‘last chance’. Today is the day of YOUR salvation; receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

"The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” (Psalm 121:5-8)

It wouldn’t be wise for the Pirates to unload any of their best prospects right now. They’re fatally flawed and a trade or two won’t fix that.
However, they are legitimately on the rise. And could be really good 2027-29. Right in time for those prospects to make a real difference
