For my #SundayShare here's my session plan from this weeks FA CPD event. Working with a very good U14s JPL team who were a treat to coach, but they were a higher level than the teams that the coaches attending were working with. Good opportunity to talk about the STEP principle

I'm looking to connect with coaches who are heading up UK based college programmes. Mainly on the subject of trials, as I'm keen to know if there are any areas that we can improve or are missing out on. Happy to chat about anything other areas of running a programme.

Am I the only person who actually likes winter evening sessions?! Sessions under lights just feel a little different, a bit more special. Also, with it getting colder, last night was an opportunity to get the @TheS_Resource hat on for the first time in a while.

If you were to put together your own coaching course for coaches who are just starting, what would you include? What would you have liked to have known when you started that wasn't included? What on the old L1 or introduction to coaching was a good take away?

With no game today, I've just done an extra U19s session. We have 34 players between 2 squads, so it's enjoyable & different to do a small group session. Unopposed into opposed finishing, I might have to come out of retirement, my demos were on point🔥😂 One of the practices👇

I've been out this morning mentoring a coach on their matchday environment. Grassroots football is football in it's purest form, and it's great to be able to give back to the grassroot game. Hats off to every grassroots coach who facilities players playing🤝 #SundayShare

As coaches, we won't always feel 100%, but we've got an obligation to give 100% for our players. I'd been up most of the night before yesterday, as my nan was unwell. Incredibly tired, I still got myself up to deliver a positive session. It's not easy, but it's for our players.

A little #SundayShare advice At times we can get into the mindset where we focus on what we haven't got, and we forget to be thankful for what we've got. It's great to be ambitious, but take a step back from time to time and recognise what you've got and what you've achieved.

I'm excited to deliver this CPD event. Some coaches tend to focus so much on the tactical or physical parts of the game, that the enjoyment element gets lost. If there are things that I tend to do well, it's the outcomes of this event, so it's a good one for me to deliver.
