The most dangerous person in any organization isnβt the bad employee. Itβs the leader who refuses to do anything about them. The enabler, the avoider, the one who knows exactly whatβs wrong and chooses comfort over the hard decisions.

A scholarship is a scholarship. If a school wants to help pay for a kidβs education, Iβd probably spend more time celebrating that than checking whether their stadium is big enough. #DMGB

Fear of failure and fear of judgment never announce themselvesβthey simply steal what could have been. They whisper doubt before you take the shot, hesitation before you take the risk, and silence when your voice should lead. Most people donβt lose because they werenβt capable; they lose because they let fear decide before they ever tried.

At the end of the day, facts donβt care about feelings. #DMGB
Every locker room has enough talent to dream. The difference between good teams and great teams is that great teams refuse to lower the standard to accommodate bad habits.
When effort, attitude, preparation, and coachability become non-negotiable, talent finally has a chance to matter. Until then, potential is just another excuse.

Athletes learn what is allowed by watching what coaches reinforce and correct and eventually what we ignore. Because what we allow becomes the standard.
Standards are not established by what coaches say once. They are established by what coaches model and reinforce everyday.
The most difficult part?
Coaches cannot demand discipline from their athletes while being inconsistent themselves.

Everybody wants the result. Everybody likes the trophy, the wins, the applause. Funny thing is, almost nobody gets excited about the part that actually produces those things.
Discipline weighs ounces. Regret weighs tons.
An extra sprint? Ounces. Watching film when you'd rather do something else? Ounces. Getting up early, paying attention to details, doing your job when nobody's watching? Ounces.
Now flip it around.
Losing because you skipped the little thingsβthat weighs tons. Looking back wishing you'd prepared harderβthat weighs tons. Knowing the outcome wasn't decided by talent, but by the choices you made every day? That's about as heavy as it gets.
Life has a way of sending you the bill. You can pay a little every day with discipline, or you can pay a whole lot later with regret. One of those is a much better deal.
