How lucky can a guy be? 🍀 Spent the weekend at #NADC22 sharing the message of @Champions_101 to athletic administrators from around the country. So grateful for the opportunity! @NIAAA9100 @NFHS_Org

“If we can develop the ability to identify how a certain part of someone else’s performance – either for better or worse – applies to our own winning pursuit? If we can use their experience to get a little bit better for ourselves? Then there isn’t anyone who can’t teach us!” Read this week’s @Champions_101 Newsletter, “Who’s Teaching You?” here: bit.ly/47hcFYV

ATTENTION leaders! The way you behave either elevates your team or holds it back. That’s because you can’t lead people somewhere you aren’t going yourself… and your team can’t become something you are not.

Grateful for the opportunity to lead monthly personal & professional development for Indiana athletic directors throughout 2026-27. This year we’re focusing on the “You First” framework - that as leaders, job #1 is to model the winning behavior we want to see in our people.

“Champions validate that they are worthy of winning through their choices and their behaviors first. The winning outcome is simply the natural byproduct of the hard work that came before it.” Read this week’s @Champions_101 Newsletter, “But Are You Worthy of Winning?” here: bit.ly/3Utpmv8

“At some point along the way, though, things start to get tough, and we find that while we may be pretty good at making commitments, the path to get there makes it much more difficult to keep them.” Read this week’s @Champions_101 Newsletter, “Keep Climbing,” here: bit.ly/4fUmQGC

You can’t control whether or not you win, but you can control whether or not you are worthy of winning.
You can do everything the right way with the right effort and right attitude, and things still aren’t guaranteed to go the way you want them to. Still, to choose to show up and do things the right way with the right effort and the right attitude. Be about the standard.

Loser: Someone who does what losers do. Talented loser: Highly skilled hooper. Bad attitude. Negative energy. Selfish teammate. Uncoachable. Low motor. No ownership. Easily victimized. Those are the guys that get you beat.
Stop. Taking. Talented. Losers. Loser: a person with a history of losing or poor results. "An unkind label for a person who struggles to excel or succeed."
