As an Athletic Director, stress and burnout are real. You have to make your health and well-being a priority. That means planning your meals, finding time to work out, managing your schedule, and most importantly, making time for your family. It’s easy to get consumed by the job and lose sight of what truly matters. But when that happens, everyone suffers: you, your family, and ultimately your productivity at work. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It allows you to be a better leader, spouse, parent, and Athletic Director. You can’t pour from an empty cup.
