I’m glad people are starting to look at data like this.. Often times ‘accepted truth’ is not really ‘true’ at all - it just highlights a realistic pattern without diagnosing the underlying circumstances for said pattern. I personally have touted that the age myth is exactly that - a myth. Physical ability and mental processing both seem to peak in players’ mid-twenties, with the decline thereafter being almost negligible, especially if you continue to play and train. The reality is that becoming a professional or top .1% player in any game has more to do with passion, drive, curiosity, and discipline than it does with age.
Apparently your CS prime isn’t 18… it's 26😭 FACEIT Level 10s steadily increase with age, peak around 26, then life starts hitting everyone with the real matchmaking Got to love that resurgence at age 38 year olds😭

Something to consider when looking at your own motivations / desires / drives. I will often see people talk about ‘lacking motivation’ You only ‘lack motivation’ because you have never been intentional about the thing it is which you lack motivation for. Our self talk, beliefs, values, and the promises we make to ourselves, when genuine, become the bedrock and foundation through which we present ourselves to the world through our behavior. So the next time you wonder ‘why do I lack motivation for this thing’ try to connect with the parts of yourself that are speaking and hear what they have to say. You may discover that you promised yourself this very thing years or decades ago, and are only just discovering how true those statements you made to yourself back then were. Everyone becomes what they ultimately believe they are.
a surprising amount of inner work or whatever involves this type of activity i’ve never heard anyone name, which i would describe as undoing surprisingly powerful spells you cast / wishes you made / vows you swore when you were younger that are sort of ruining your life now

Because people who lack confidence think negatively about themselves all the time, they assume having confidence means thinking positively about yourself. The reality is that real confidence means not thinking about yourself at all.
People that eat in restaurants alone or drink at the bar solo, what’s your secret to social confidence?

It’s crazy how so many ppl in the community just flame each other and tear each other down. Every complains that this game prize pool this or epic games that.. but at the end of the day the community is responsible for growing or shrinking the game as well. The competitive community in FN is one of the most toxic out there. Granted a larger majority are just kids and even individual of adult age have such childish behaviors. It confuses me so much on how all of you want this game to grow, be bigger, have bigger prize pools and more life changing opportunities, but at every single chance you guys get you try to tear each other down. This post won’t change anything but hopefully it gives some people a change of perspective for those mature enough to understand it. All the jokes and memes are fines and the internet is the internet I understand. But I want to see this game grow. I want there to be more opportunities for everyone to pursue their dreams. I came up during the beginning of comp Fn almost 10 years ago - the amount of excitement and enthusiasm everyone had to grow the game was insane back then. That’s also what gave the game so much attention as well. Hopefully the game can get back to a place like that where the community can be more uplifting than it is today. Just cause your favorite man child pro gamer says something doesn’t mean you have to go and be a mindless follower that repeats everything they say.

Thinking of ideas for long-form content, and I always like to ask the community what people think is most useful for them, so I wanted to ask here: What should my first video back be?

The man who sleeps nine hours and eats clean and never drinks and exercises daily is the deadest man i know btw. his bloodwork is immaculate and he has nothing to say. the body is a temple and no God showed up. meanwhile the ones who actually see things are running on four hours and cigarettes and something chewing at them from inside that wont let them become vegetables. consciousness is expensive it costs health. you pay with the body. the flame eats the candle thats the deal
