Southern Nazarene University sophomore defensive back Tyler Ulrich has died after suffering a traumatic head injury during a football game. He was 21 years old. Ulrich’s father said, “The Lord called Tyler this morning,” while head coach Dustin Hada remembered him as a “man of God” who embodied quiet strength, loyalty, hard work, and joy. The university community has gathered in prayer as teammates and loved ones mourn his death. For Christians, Tyler’s story is a heartbreaking reminder of how fragile life can be.
