I don’t usually post. I just wanted to say how proud I am of @IRCSEagles Football. Last night I saw a team that never wanted to give up, never felt for a second that they couldn’t fight, and a team who truly left it out all on the field. So proud

This type of thing hurts the players and staff. Unfortunately it’s happening often. Praying that the recruits, current players, and staff find other places. Genuinely hate seeing places fold.

It is with much sadness that I announce Oakland City University will not be operating this year. Any recruits are open and they need not decommitt . I bless them with open arms and wish them the best. I guess technically I’m open to opportunities…preferably as an OL or DL coach. I am licensed in Indiana to teach social studies. Sorry if this isn’t proper…I’ve never had to do this before.

ALT Bobby Cox: 1941-2026

We are overcome with emotion on the passing of Bobby Cox, our treasured skipper. Bobby was the best manager to ever wear a Braves uniform. He led our team to 14 straight division titles, five National League pennants, and the unforgettable World Series title in 1995. His Braves managerial legacy will never be matched. Bobby was a favorite among all in the baseball community, especially those who played for him. His wealth of knowledge on player development and the intricacies of managing the game were rewarded with the sport’s ultimate prize in 2014 - enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame. And while Bobby's passion for the game was unparalleled, his love of baseball was exceeded only by his love for his family. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we send our sincerest condolences to his beloved wife, Pam, and their loving children and grandchildren.

COMMUNICATION IS BEST

#Ravens HC Jesse Minter on his players communicating pre-snap: “You can’t play this game quietly, and you can’t play this game with doubt, and you can’t play this game without knowing what you’re doing. And so, I know from a defensive standpoint, we should be the loudest, most crazy, obnoxious, communicative unit in the history of football.” (🎥 @Ravens)

Alex Golesh told me he will never lie to his players. Honesty is non-negotiable for him, even when it’s uncomfortable. That meant having real, tough conversations with his team when he made the decision to leave for Auburn. ⬇️⬇️
