‼️ Long post ahead ‼️
After 28 years and being blessed to be around 1000’s of kids, I’ve decided to retire from coaching and teaching.
The fact that @jasonsudeikis didn’t recreate this scene in @TedLasso is somewhat surprising.
How is it that @Walgreens will call, email, text, send smoke signals and write a message in the sky that my prescription is ready, but will act like they have no idea why I’m there.

Duo isn’t a unique run concept. It’s just inside zone’s cousin with better marketing, another buzzword offensive line coaches invented to make an old idea sound revolutionary.
Very proud of the relationship that @coverthutto and @HippoNationSupt have formed!!
My daughter Avery is wrapping up her internship at Sky Ranch Camps in Van, TX and is beginning the search for her next opportunity. She graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2025, where she played beach volleyball and worked in the Sports Information Department.
She has a heart for kids, athletics, mentoring, and team culture, and would love to find a role connected to college athletics, sports information, camps, student life, or really anything where she can invest in young people through sports.
I’m reaching out to my coaching circle and friends in athletics. If you know of any openings or connections, we would truly appreciate it.
Please feel free to message me or share this post. Thank you all for supporting young people chasing their calling.

One of the most important traits of a leader is that they empower their people.
But, the best leaders understand that empowerment is not about giving answers faster.
It's about developing people who can think clearly...
long after you're not in the room.
FIX SYSTEMS, NOT PEOPLE
Most leaders default to “Who messed up?” GOTCHA mode is the easy way out
High performing leaders ask What in the system allowed this to happen?
The best leaders are open to redesigning the system, not the person
Getting a @ChickfilA employee to say “Thank you” so I can say “My pleasure” is one of life’s simple pleasures.
"Culture is not what you put in the mission statement or at the top of your web page. It is what you tolerate on a Tuesday afternoon. Every unaddressed behavior becomes the real policy."

It’s amazing how many people have the work ethic of an average person and then think they deserve a promotion or something special to happen to them. There’s not much demand for an experienced average guy. If you want to be great, be great every day, in every way.
Just read this and it hits hard…..
“Your culture is the worst of what you allow.”
Kind of goes along with “You’re either teaching it or letting it happen.”
Curious if @Matt_Stepp817 or @ProfessorDiggs know if Brownfield is the first school to ever be 0-22 in a two year span.
