Athlete, those ⭐️’s are nice but they don’t mean NOTHING when you step on the field with a 21 or 22 year old that’s ready to take your head off. Don’t get caught up in the hype, put in the actual work that it takes to compete on the next level.
Offensive linemen are skilled players too. Being big and strong is good, but being agile with it creates a different beast.
Football is, always has been, and always will be a CONTACT SPORT! That’s what makes this game beautiful. There’s no Steph Curry coming along to revolutionize football and take the physicality out of it. At the end of the day, this game will always demand toughness, discipline, and physical dominance. And make no mistake about it — CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE WON UP FRONT, IN THE TRENCHES, WITH THE BIG BOYS! 💪🏾🏈
Shoutout to this guy. We started working this offseason and it’s all paying off. Sky is the limit.

Struggling to get the snap hand back up to battle, give this a try? Let me know what you think.
@keenum_koby
🏈 WHY SHOULD OFFENSIVE LINEMEN WALK BACKWARD?
Backward walking can help offensive linemen develop:
✅ Better balance and body control
✅ Improved footwork awareness
✅ Stronger quads and knee control
✅ Better lower-body coordination
✅ Greater movement versatility
💪 The little things matter! At First Step Training Academy, we focus on building better athletes through intentional, fundamental training. Every step has a purpose!

Stop popping up on the snap. Get that knee-to-toe relationship locked in and generate real power from the ground up. #LinemenSkills #FirstStepTraining #TackleLife

Awesome having this guy up from Remlap, Al. I love to see guys take ownership of their own development. I believe he will make a fantastic center on the next level. Appreciate you making the 2 hour trip up, finish the season strong young man!

Some in season work, working on some simple pass set mechanics, keep most of your weight on your front foot.

This kid has a TON of upside and is just getting started.

Great session today during this guys fall break. He’s made the transition to center recently and I believe he can be a Power 4 center. We work all 5 positions along the line so we’re ready for any and every opportunity. I love it when players take ownership and accountability of their own development.

Always good seeing this young man. Hard fought win for Vestavia Hills against a very tough and stingy Hoover squad.

There is ZERO room for pride, arrogance, and selfishness on the OLine. The job is strictly for the success and protection of our teammates. We exist to make the team better, not the other way around.
Working on banging the hip and staying square up to 2nd level defenders.
