Sources: The #Chargers are hiring Sean Spence as their new inside linebackers coach. Spence, a former NFL player, most recently coached at Western Michigan and at the Senior Bowl. Under his guidance, Nadame Tucker led the country in sacks and TFLs this past season.

The #Chargers have finalized the hiring of Western Michigan defensive ends coach/pass rush specialist Sean Spence, sources tell @CBSSports. The former Miami and NFL linebacker worked with new Chargers DC Chris O’Leary at WMU and helped the team rank among the nation’s best defenses.

KALAMAZOO IS THE CITY OF CHAMPIONS! 🏆 2025 began with multiple national championships and ended with the fourth football conference championship in #WMU history. From the field to the classroom, we excelled in athletic competition, community impact, fundraising, revenue generation and academic achievement. Our student-athletes in the City of Champions have inspired and delivered beyond anything imaginable. Just this past Fall, they set a new Fall semester record with a 3.41 Fall Grade Point Average, with ALL programs finishing above a 3.0. This success belongs to our coaches, staff, student-athletes, alumni, fans and supporters who believed in the vision and helped elevate Bronco Athletics to the national stage. The City of Champions is real! 🐴 💛
