It is good to see Governments introduce new animal welfare laws, we just wish they would enforce current laws! See video, unlicensed breeder selling pups direct to the public. Reported April @michaelgove #action

5+ dogs are stolen every day in the UK. Less than 5% of cases lead to prison sentences. Despite this, the Government is “not convinced for change”. Fortunately #PetTheftReform has growing cross-party support. RT if you agree #PetsAreFamily & #PetTheft should be a crime in itself

The only way to take licensing and inspection away from inept, often corrupted councils. Go Scotland! Come on @michaelgove and @DefraGovUK England needs the same dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scott…

Scotland to appoint 'animal tsar' to crackdown on puppy farm black market

An independent inspectorate will be formed as part of a legal drive to replace our licensing system, which has offered little deterrent to rogue animal traders.

#AnimalWelfare is climbing up the political agenda and leading to positive change. #FinnsLaw #LucysLaw #BanShockCollars 👍 #PetTheftPetition got increased sentencing, but we want more! The next step is adding #PetTheft to the #AnimalWelfareAct RT if you support #PetTheftReform
