🐓🐓 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗣𝗔𝗬 🐓🐓 The Firsts suffered their 1st defeat of the season in horrid conditions going down 3-0 to Kesgrave Kestrels who were deserved winners. We had the better of the 1st half with the majority of possession and territory but our usually potent attack failed to find the cutting edge required in the final third with just a couple of headers when well placed to show for our efforts. In a game where it felt the 1st goal would be pivotal we needed more. And so it proved as early in the 2nd half a dubiously awarded free kick was curled home to put Kesgrave 1-0 ahead. We huffed and puffed and got plenty of balls into the box but profligate finishing and good keeping kept us at bay. Kesgrave added a further 2 goals late on as we pushed for that elusive equaliser to make the game safe. A first defeat and a sore one at that, plenty to work on to make sure we get back to winning ways at the first opportunity ⭐️ A. 🐓🐓 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡, 𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗥 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗦 🐓🐓 The unbeaten First team are there to be shot at and this week it will be Kesgrave Kestrels who take aim as the Firsts make the trip 🚗 The reverse fixture in August was Kesgraves last loss so we travel under no illusions that this won't be a tough fixture. We'll have to battle the wind, rain and a side out to bring us down if we are to remain unbeaten and clear at the top 🔝 ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #football

🐓🐓 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗨𝗣 🐓🐓 It's time to bounce back after last weeks first defeat of the season for the Reserves and what better way to do it than by 👁 the proverbial 'cupset' as we face Old Newton Reserves at the Green. Old Newton currently sit a division above so it's time to accept the challenge with the free hit offered to us to try and progress! If you are feeling brave the lads would love it if you can brave the storm 🌧💨 to try and help see them through! 2:00KO at The Green! ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #upthecocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #football

🐓🐓😍 𝕃𝕆𝕆𝕂 𝔸𝕋 𝕋ℍ𝔼𝕊𝔼 😍🐓🐓 Alot of work goes into maintaining venues and facilities and the home of football in Cockfield is no different. The Parish council has recently replaced and decorated the railings around the outside of The Pavilion and we think they look brilliant 👏 We can't thank the council enough for putting these in place to ensure we keep having a venue for our players, supporters and visitors to feel at home 🏡 and proud of 💙 ⚽️💙🐓💙⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #grassrootsfootball #parishcouncil #villagelife

🐓🐓 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦 🐓🐓 It was a disappointing afternoon on Saturday for the Reserves as a chaotic opening ultimately led to our demise as we tasted defeat for the 1st time this season going down 3-1 It could have been so different as we started the game on the front foot and created some good opportunities to take the lead but that was soon punished when we conceded a penalty that was coolly converted. Things went from bad to worse when a Kesgrave effort was diverted by captain Travis Page with his hand to stop the ball going in and it was soon 2-0 and down to 10 men. Kesgrave were able to add a third before HT which left us fearing the worst at the break. But to the Reserves credit and newfound inner strength we put in a strong 2nd half display belying our numerical disadvantage. J. Nelson reduced the arrears from a corner and we spent the majority of the 2nd half on the front foot but unable to force further goals. A frustrating way to lose a game of that there is no doubt but the Reserves showed plenty of character and determination on and off the pitch to promise this isn't a feeling we will encounter too much if we can heed the lessons of the 1st half! Saturday will provide the lads the chance to bounce back and demonstrate the character shown in the 2nd half! ⚽️ - J. Nelson 🎯 - C. Minihane ⭐️ - H. Towns ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️

🐓🐓 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗚 🐓🐓 The Reserves host AFC Kesgrave 'A' at the Green tomorrow attempting to keep climbing the table with a win! We currently sit 6th with 2 wins and 3 draws from our opening 5 fixtures. An unbeaten start, but a good start would become an even better one with 3 points tomorrow against a Kesgrave side with 1 win and 5 losses in their opening 6 fixtures. Come join us from 14:30 to see how this one pans out ⚽️⚽️⚽️ ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #localfootball

🏡 home draw in the Primary Cup 2nd round: ⚽️ - @Mendleshamfc 🏟 - Great Green, IP30 0HQ 🗓 - 21/11/26, 13:30

📸 Surprise visits are just the best aren't they 😍? 📸 Saturday we were incredibly lucky to have @pitchside_bp drop by en route to a prior engagement and capture all the pulsating 1st half action - 5 goals and a pen save is good going - there was so much action we have had to split into 2 posts!! Every time we have the privilege of Ben's expertise we are always impressed and so grateful, he is genuinely one of the best about - we implore you to check out his work on Instagram! Anyway, enough words - check out the pics on here and the full album on FB 💙🐓💙🐓💙

🐓🐓 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗣 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 🐓🐓 The Reserves emphatically found their form to put their familiar opponents to the sword with a 6-1 win that sees us in the draw for the next round of the Suffolk FA Primary Cup! Any lingering disappointment from last weeks draw was not in evidence here as the Reserves raced out of the traps to come in with a comfortable 4-0 lead at HT! The second half was a more muted affair but we were able to add 2 more before FT to secure an impressive win at the Green! Carter continues to impress, notching a hattrick whilst he was supported ably by Lee, Nelson and Towns to bring up the half dozen. A confidence boosting performance ahead of a crucial league game at the Green this Saturday! ⚽️ - L. Carter x3, D. Lee, J. Nelson, H. Towns 🎯 - D. Lee, J. Nelson x2, T. Lewin, T. Midforth ⭐️ - L. 🐓🐓 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖 𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗨𝗣 𝟭𝟬 𝗨𝗡𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗡 🐓🐓 A potential bump in the road was avoided with a tricky game in difficult circumstances was negotiated as we came away with 3 points we largely deserved First half goals from Mantle and Bowyer and Bryant from fast paced attacking moves nudged us ahead 3-2 at the break as 2 sloppy goals from corners kept Witnesham in the game. We were indebted to Utteridge for a big pen save at 3-1. It had been a frantic 1st half so it was inevitable the 2nd was much quieter but it was lit up with Steeds sensational touch, turn and finish settled any lingering hopes Witnesham had of a share of the spoils. A big 3 points to keep the gap at the top and to take us to 10 unbeaten in all competitions! ⚽️ - C. Mantle, L. Bowyer, M. Bryant, C. Steed 🎯 - M. Darnell, O. Ward x2, R. Jolly ⭐️ - J. Lebbon A huge thank you also to @pitchside_bp for covering the 1st half, that was a right treat for us and a right treat for you when we release the full album of photos on Tuesday 😍 ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #localfootball

No doubt buoyed by last weeks heavy cup win Witnesham will head into this one with an extra spring in their step as we look to avoid a sting in the tail and make sure we take 3 points back to Cockfield! ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #upthecocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #localfootball

🐓🐓 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 🐓🐓 It's fair to say the Reserves came away disappointed with 'just' a point on Saturday so it is time to put it behind us as we divert our attention to the Suffolk FA Primary Cup 1st Round 🏆 A home draw and opponents we faced just 2 weeks ago are confidence boosting incentives to go and get ourselves in the 🎩 for the next round! It's a 14:00KO so come give the guys the support they need to get them into the draw! Bar will be open 🍻☕️ ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #localfootball

Some trip that 🚌🚌 ⚽️ - Gunton Athletic (A) 🗓 - 14/11/26, 13:30KO 🏆 - Junior Cup Round 2 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓

🐓🐓 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐄𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 🐓🐓 A tricky away fixture negotiated ahead of a home run saw the Reserves pick up a well-earned point after a 2-2 draw. It could have been more though as a bruising encounter had seen us 2 goals to the good. 2 injuries at centre half eventually caught up with us however and increasing Woolverstone pressure saw them do well to come back from the brink. A bitter pill to swallow but the lads (and the club) remain unbeaten and the comfort of home calls 📣 where hopefully the Reserves can continue their strong start to the season. One to learn from and regroup was the feeling in the camp post game! ⚽️ - D. Lee, J. Hardiman ⭐️ - J. Hardiman ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #nonleague #grassrootsfootball #football

🐓🐓 𝗙𝗔𝗕 𝟱 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗨𝗣 🐓🐓 A potentially tricky cup Suffolk FA Junior Cup tie was comfortably negotiated as the First team ran out 5-2 winners at Whitton United on Saturday! Four slick 1st half goals came as our hosts defence were unable to cope with the pace of our attacks effectively killing the game off by HT. A more even 2nd half as we eased off saw us concede 2 sloppy goals towards the end but credit to our hosts who battled hard throughout and deserved to get some reward for their efforts. Strong debuts for Mantle and Darnell were another positive on a relatively pleasing afternoon. It's job done and into the 🎩 for round 2! ⚽️ - R. Jolly, C. Steed, M. Bryant, H. Baker ⭐️ - L. Bowyer (x3 assists) ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #upthecocks #lovefootball #nonleague #grassrootsfootball #cuprun

🐓🐓 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙀𝙍𝙑𝙀𝙎 𝘼𝙄𝙈 𝙏𝙊 𝘾𝙇𝙄𝙈𝘽 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙃𝙄𝙇𝙇 𝙏𝙊 𝙎𝙐𝘾𝘾𝙀𝙎𝙎 🐓🐓 The Reserves put their 5 game unbeaten start to the season to the test against improving Woolverstone Reserves tomorrow. A win cements what has been a positive start and sets us up nicely for a run of home games that populate the remainder of the month! It's important the lads focus on the task in front of them to ensure 3 points wings it's way back to Cockfield! ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #lovefootball #nonleague #football #grassrootsfootball

🐓🐓 𝐈𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐒 🐓🐓 The First Team's month of October fixtures is bookended by games in the Junior Cup and the Bob Coleman Cup! It's a month of travel 🚌 as home comforts are no longer on offer and stern challenges lie on the 🛣 ahead! We hope we can continue in the same vein as the previous months to give us lots to look forward to going forward! The lads have worked hard to this point and more of the same is required 👊! ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #upthecocks #lovefootball #lovenonleague #grassrootsfootball #football

🐓🐓 𝗨𝗡𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝗨𝗘𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛𝗦 🐓🐓 After two months of action the First Team remain unbeaten in all comps (admittedly our 1 cup game was a walkover) and top of the fledgling Championship table! A fruitful September has seen us extend our advantage at the top to 5 points. We are there to be shot at but we relish the challenge as we hit the road over the next couple of months for the majority of our games 🚌 Brilliant to see both sides still unbeaten as we head into October 🍁 ⚽️🐓💙🐓⚽️ #UptheCocks #football #nonleague #grassrootsfootball #lovefootball
