The best part of being in a leadership role is seeing the people you knew would succeed, if given the chance, step into what they’ve earned. Their commitment. Their growth. Their moment. I’m just grateful to be front row to witness their success!

Video from Gill Athletic’s Connection Podcast with Mike Cunningham:
3 years ago, talking about how back in 2015 I wanted to be the Head Track Coach at Mount St. Joseph University!
If this isn’t manifesting my future I’m not sure what is!
Once a Lion ALWAYS a Lion!

I haven't found too many Directors of track/field who don't coach but help support their coaches. @CokoNation was one of the 1st so I had to have him on the show to learn more.
FASCINATING!

It wasn’t until I took my team full of minorities to Cracker Barrel & our Black Assistant Coach pointed out how unrepresentative the walls were of all the people we had brought to the restaurant that.
I can’t help but detect a bit of sarcasm in her voice at the end.
We’re still recruiting the class of 2025! So if you have any seniors interested in competing in college, please email me at [email protected]
They will need to apply, send transcript to admissions and put MSJ on their FAFSA.
I hope to hear from you!
