hi @facan is there any reason a user-friendly site that previously ranked well in Bing would get completely removed from the index in Oct 2024? I'm hoping it's some type of bug - someone on Reddit said you might be able to help. Thank you!
Why does Parade outrank the original source that they’re citing? Am I the only one who finds this infuriating? I thought Google was supposed to reward original content. @searchliaison

Today's newsletter is the story of how Prabhakar Raghavan, Google's former head of ads - led a coup so that he could run Google Search, and how an email chain from 2019 began a cascade of events that would lead to him running it into the ground.

How can I have 1 click from 110 impressions for a single keyword where my average rank is 1.5? I see this all over my Search Console.

The very short (extraordinary) story of Freenginx was covered by @ColinNewcomer in this month's news report

In a bid to replace falling ad revenue, big media publishers are inundating the web with bad product recommendations you can’t trust.
Google is killing independent sites like ours through inaction.
We hope to still be here to see things change:

What is up with Google? I search in English from Vietnam and I get WordPressORG results for the Vietnamese version of one plugin and the...Colombian version of a different plugin? But not one of the English versions (which exist).
Google really is a new level of bad. My accurate article about a famous person that's been ranking for over a year is now being outranked by a fake AI-generated obituary saying that person is dead (they are not dead). Helpful content, I guess?
Helpful content according to Google:
Thin posts with inaccurate information that haven't been updated in 3 years.
Reddit.
IMDB (???).
Nonsense AI content (not as much as the others).
Does anyone know why Gutenberg has a 15 second lag between me typing and the text appearing in the editor? It happens across multiple sites from different clients. Clearing my browser cache fixes it for a minute but then the problem comes back. It's unusable.
Elegant Themes' retargeting ads are just on another level. Almost every single site I visit without adblock is all Divi ads. I guess because I'm in Vietnam and not many people are bidding for those views.
Does this happen to people in other countries?

🎉 I'm going to give one random person that retweets this $10,000. Because I’d rather spend my ad budget on you than BigTech

If I already use Cloudflare's DNS for all my domain names, is there any reason not to use Cloudflare Registrar for all my domains?
The registration prices are tough to beat (literally)
hey @brianleejackson do you know if it's possible to use the adjusted bounce rate in @_perfmatters while still seeing the original bounce rate data? Tl;dr I want to see both the default bounce rate calculation and the adjusted bounce rate.
